Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, `Destroy him!'
Notice the term “everlasting arms”
Everlasting means something that never has an end. And the adjective here is applied to God’s arms meaning God’s arm never tires, never fails, never leaves it’s place. And here it says that the eternal God is our refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. Have you seen a mother carry her newborn child? How carefully she holds the baby.
This is how God carries every child of His. The baby that is carried may be inconvenienced by several things but the mother is at hand to care, to nurture, to soothe and to satisfy. So is our loving Heavenly Father. As we live in this world, we may face troubles but remember the Heavenly Father’s everlasting arms are underneath us carrying us, though we do not often realize it. Whether you are walking or driving your vehicle or traveling in an aero plane, know this that your Heavenly Father’s everlasting arms are underneath you. Not only that, this verse says that Jesus will drive out your enemy before you saying, “Destroy him.”
Yes, God will fight for you and destroy your enemy. The everlasting Father is with you to protect you from the wiles of the wicked one. The devil may plan many things against you but God will not let him succeed. He is your eternal refuge. The psalmist says, ‘God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in times of trouble’ How true isn’t it?
