Sunday morning one of our church Pastors asked this question " what is your reaction in the midst of your need?"- what is your first thought - do you panic, do you stress or do you praise God in the midst of your need? The choice is ours to make-
1. Cry out Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. Psa 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psa 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 2. If you want deliverance believe God's promise is bigger than your problems Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3.what do our lips declare? Psa 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. Psa 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. sa 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psa 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. I would like to qualify this by saying I am not a formula Christian- God gives us principles to live by and we are to take His Word and make it a part of our lives and walk by faith- it is not the formula but the God behind His Word. |
