how to get the youth fired up for God and participating in activties

hey guys in new to this thought i would start it off by posting a threat that i can get yalls feed back .i wanted to know what would be the best possible approaches to get hte youth of my church to come out more and be more active in the activites and show more appriecation and to have fun and invite more to share in the glory of God and his kingdom .

My youth group has lost of games and stuff. Most of them are embaressing and involve gross stuff. This makes it more fun though.

I have been in churches were they didn't want the youth to "excited" but wanted slow and boring - needless to say it was a small youth group- being a christian is and should never be boring- when the Holy Spirit of God is moving things are vibrant and fresh. It is always a good idea to give them Pastors and music that are not only Godly but the teenagers can relate to.
In truth the most efective way I have seen in stiring young hearts is hands on minstery- take them some place were they can reach out and share their faith and they will bloom and blossom for Jesus- as one allows God to move thru himself he is touched, filled and transformed- sometimes you just have to shake off the " pew butt syndrome" and get outside- reached the world as Christ intended and there will be no lack of fire.
