Here's an interestimg topic for you. Well, at least I think so... We all have dreams and visions, desires of the heart, things that we would do if... In other words, something pretty big, a desire we've had for a long time that we would really love to see come true if only God would open that door. It doesn't necessarily have to be of a spiritual nature (e.g. mission to Africa...), although it can be.

Here's mine: I would really love to have my own cooking show and open a restaurant some day. I love to cook and to entertain, to make people laugh and feel welcomed .

So, what's yours? C'mon, don't be shy... What better way to start getting to know the people you chat with almost every day.

I had a dream 2 nights ago. I can't remember the beggining but in the end a worm that somehow I knew was made by the government to contol minds. Somehow it escaped and got into the hotel I was staying at and it got one of my friends (His eyes tunrned blue). Then I did something (can't remember what it was) and I was listening to music with headphones (Ones that don't go in your ears) and the worm cralled in my ear and then my vision became blue and I felt (this has alot of significance because I never feel anything in my dreams) a sharp pain and I woke up. It was strange.


But my real dream is to be a little bit more "fit." And be closer to God. *Peace*

To operate a community /fellowship center. Working at furnishing the spiritual and physical needs of the people in my neighborhood.

That and having all my meals cooked by a cooking show host and/or restaurant owner


I enjoy just talkin to people and getting them to think about important things or laff.

Hey Paddy(Padelford)... Can I call you Paddy? Anyway, just a thought... Maybe the "blue worm" represents listening to too much music on head phones. And yes, that was a strange dream. I really don't like dreams like that. They make no sense and leave me wondering.

Theophilus, that's a great dream! The community /fellowship center, I mean. About the other one, all I can do is send you recipies!...

This will change the tone of the thread a bit and I appologize for that, but I'm sure that you can possibly relate to this - especially our members in the southern US...

My dream/wish would be to never again have to respond into a post hurricane devastation area along the Coastal US to assist victims and to administer Christian or generic Last Rites to those who didn't make it.

Except for 2006, we have seen death and destruction in those areas of monumental proportions. Some persons are beligerant and refuse to evacuate because "they can ride it out"... but history and statistics have confirmed that they can't. These are the persons that the officials and religious organizations try to reason with before landfalls take place and our pleading falls on deaf ears most times. Then, when 160 MPH winds, a storm surge 19 feet high with 35 foot waves on top of that come crashing into their world, it is too late to have second thoughts.

What a wonderful thing it would be to have everyone leave when told to do so instead of placing themselves and their families in jeopardy - just to try to salvage 'material goods' rather than trying to salvage their 'lives'...

My dream is to rock it hard in a Christian rock band! I'm talking about reaching the crowd that likes the big noise and fancy lights! Sending God's message through music!

As far as dreams, I've had some very strange ones that are borderline mental! I once dreamed I was in two places at the same time...and I felt both of me in both places at the exact same time!!! Totally wierd. I've also dreamed about future events which did come to pass. I think our dreams are meant to be theraputic mostly, but God can also use them. I also believe that dreams can be nothing more than a busy brain!
