Default An appeal to all members

Rom 10:13-14 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? (ESV)

Over the last two days, both within the moderator team and this forum, a need has been highlighted, and now an appeal is sent. Will you respond?

We are all enjoying the life of truth and take pleasure in interacting in-between ourselves, as Christians, but not everyone enjoy the many blessings of our God. Wouldn't it be nice to extend our appreciation to non-believers too?

Do you visit the 'Open Forum For Non-believers And Believers'? You will find the link at the bottom of the main entrance. There, you will meet people who are seeking understanding, trying to understand our faith.

We would like to encourage you to do so, as some of you are already doing.....Who knows, the salvation of some may depend on just one comment.

Blessings.

Thanks for the nudge I needed it when the Lord said:
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
I was reminded of that when I read your post and I will endevour (with His guidance) to respond to this call. To all my brothers and sisters here I would just like to say that dealing with these lost souls can be a real test of faith and if you don't mind I would like to share a few thoughts:

1. Never get angry or argue- if a person is not in God's light they walk under the infuence of the darkness and being in this kind of bondage can cause all kinds of manifestations- these are to be expected and are telling of the bondage in their lives- ask God to show you this person thru His eyes.
2. Speak the truth in love- if you don't speak God's truth in love you haven't spoken His Word at all
3. Always show compassion and express your heart- let that person know you care- I have never met a heart so hard that a little love wouldn't began to penetrate or soften it- it may take awhile but you will began to see an attitude change
4. Never be intimidated - never back off the truth of God's Word- some of these guys are pretty skilled at sowing confusion and devising new lines of attack to try to tear down you Most Holy Faith- if you open in window into the darkness the darkness will not spill in but the light will indeed flood out penetrating and illuminating everything in it's path.

I know I tend to be long winded- thank you for your patience and the opportunity to share my heart- In His Name Larry

many people are concerned with the Great Comission.... go out to all the world and make disciples... but there is an equally authoritative command here:

(1 Peter 3:15-16) but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

not that this is everyone's only calling or whatever.... we are all part of the same body and we all need one another equally.... the hand can never say tot he foot I don't need you.... the evangelist needs the the teacher who strengthens the faith of the new believer etc etc throughout the body of Christ.... but just as we all can participate to some small degree in the great commission, so too we can, to whatever degree we feel God commands us to, participate in the defense of the faith....

blessings,
Ken

Is there any reason the part of the forum that's open is firewalled for my PC (with filters)? I can't get there.

I've been lurking around those forums quite a bit, but sometimes I just don't know what to say :-(
