Default Wow!!

Ok, so I did watch the video... I wonder if any of you ever feel just a little scared when you watch something like that? I know salvation is not based on anything else other than belief in Jesus, belief that He is the Son of God and He is the only One through whom we can come to the Father, but... my oh my, how many questions does a video like that can raise...

Default In a twinkling of an eye

This is an awesome video. I don't care for most of the efforts to "reach the video culture" with power point topical sermons, slide presentations during worship, and film-clips for edification currently replacing the Holy Spirit in ushering the congregation into the presence of the Lord. It amounts to replacement devices which push a "service" forward and leaves people where they were, distanced from God, standing afar off. This video is smart, it recaptures the focus of preaching the Gospel. His coming is eminent, he can come at any moment. Are you ready?

People stumble over the Rapture of the Church, there are a few different theories: pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib; and some claim none at all. The Bible teachers a Second Coming that is in two stages: meeting Him in the air, and Him touching down on the Mount of Olives at the end of the seven year time of Jacob's trouble (tribulation).

If the Rapture was mid-trib, or post trib-immediately at its conclusion- it would only be necessary to set your watch and know exactly when to receive Christ in order to be saved, living like the Devil until then. This is hyperbole, but the point is valid. God would never deliver this timetable to frail and reprobate mankind.

It is abundantly clear in scripture that that the rock is not to be struck twice; God has not appointed us unto wrath; His true virgin will enter in to His presence while the foolish ones will be left behind; the seven years of tribulation have nothing to do with the Church, but are appointed by God for Him to resume dealing with his elect, Israel to refine a third of them as gold (because all Israel, who are Israel, will be saved); His coming is like a thief in the night, like lightning: Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Mat. 24:44).

Praise His Holy Name, I am made ready by the blood of the Lamb,

In Christ Jesus the Lord,

David

[I would post all scriptures on request; I also treat this issue of losing focus and how it can lead to heresies in "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness there of," a recent article at TheNewsBeats.com]

I have no fear- whenever the Lord comes- pre-mid-post- whenever- I am at peace- I will spend my time drawing near to Him-
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
He is my righteousness and peace and and when things look worse and worse I will simply-
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
The closer the end comes the closer my Lord comes- I guess I cannot loose
