Christian army, heh. Aren't those two words mutually exclusive? Sort of like honest politician. Maybe they forgot to read the part about blessing your enemies. Or I probably haven't found the part that says to kill them. And wounded people. Or maybe they weren't really christian.

Well I guess it is all in how you look at it- God tells noone to quit military service anywhere in His Word- Historically Romes Christian Legions were there finest beacuse the were fearless- but if you got the gist of the first post you would probably know this wasn't talking about shooting anyway- ruffle, ruffle

Unfortunatly, this observation is somtimes true. We all could use a reminder of this scripture from time to time:

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

The "Christian army" aka soldiers for Christ aka the church -batteling the evil of this world has a unfortunate tendency to attack any of their own who stumble or fall, instead of the biblical approach :
Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
they tend to get religious and judgemental often pushing the "wounded bird" out of the nest so to speak.

However, there are a few con artists out there. Playing christians for all they are worth. I don't think we are to be gullible, used because we so easily allow it. There are some bad people in the world who view christians as easy marks. Perhaps the easiest. And some christians seem to just go right along with it.
