JEHOSHUA-MATTHEW 3:15 - JESUS -JOSHUA- GOD SAVESThis is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, which was originally Hoshea (Num_13:8, Num_13:16), but changed by Moses into Jehoshua (Num_13:16; 1Ch_7:27), or Joshua. Why does Isaiah 7:14 say His name will be immanuel, and His name is Jesus? I just want to see what everybodys answers are....

He is Jesus but He is also truly called God with us - that is the meaning of Immanuel-
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Y do I call my father, dad? Depends on what you are comfortable with. I like calling God, my father or sometimes Grandpa.
