The angelican church is a mixture of Catholic (stressing its continuity with the ancient Church) and protestant (noting that the Church does not accept the universal infallible authority of the Pope).
Some angelicans use prayer beads and rosary which is contradictory to the priciples of reformed christians. Anglicans claim authority within the church through apostolic succession from the first followers of Jesus. By the way, it's Christianity. You missed an 'i'. ![]() |

"Some angelicans use prayer beads and rosary which is contradictory to the priciples of reformed christians." How is this contradictory? You know lots of Muslims use them too, but their origins are from Christianity.
"Anglicans claim authority within the church through apostolic succession from the first followers of Jesus." This means what? |

I was trying to say that Angelicans have certain priciples Catholics and protestants. Protestants dont use the beads.
The Archbishop of Canterbury (Rowan Williams), is considered the first among the equals and he is the symbolic head of the worldwide Anglican Communion, like how Pope (Benedict XVI) is the head of the Catholic Church. Pope is considered by the catholics as the successor of St. Peter (discple of Jesus Christ). Likewise, the office of the Archbishop of Canterbury has been handed over through many Archbishops starting from St. Augustine. Official site of Archbishop of Canterbury |
