Anyone down south (I'm in Canada) cares to discuss the US presidential candidates? Personally I don't care much about Hillery Clinton and John Edwards.
I don't know much about the third one, I forgot his name, he is the black candidate, all I heard was a comment he made about Iraq, which I didn't agree with. Who are going to run for the republicans? |

We are probably better off not discussing that. It is amazing to me how many Christians support far left people these days. The hatred that I see between the two sides is rediculous. It is splitting the country and could very well split the Church in the future. For the life of me though, I don't understand how anyone can support all of any party platform. It seems to me that most people would be liberal on some issues and conservative on others.

Im voting for ABB. anyone but Bush. lol
and the country will not be divided cuz a house divided against itsself just cant stand. the issues and where people stand is always going to change, shift and balance itself out. after nine-eleven, everyone loved Bush for his destructive retaliation. Now everyone knows hes just as wrong as anyone is. Life always has a way to find a way to show us the truth one way o another. Go Hillary. shes got much more experience than the rest of them and knows how to play ball on Capital Hill. Gulliani isn't qualified, Obama doesn't have the credentials, and McCian is losing support for his support of the war. Edwards isn't qualified either. so it looks like we're going to have our first woman president shortly. |

Hillary is pro-choice and is a hardcore liberal. Of course, I can't vote so I should shut up. Al Gore would make a good first lady though.

A mega liberal friend of mine became really upset when George Bush and the majority Republican congress origanally got elected and I told him that if I could put up with Clinton for 8 years then he could put up with Bush. But I also shared this with him:
God is sovern and His will and plans are going to be carried out regardless of who runs what so vote your conscience and then " don't worry be happy"! |

But I wouldn't take any chances! ![]() ----------------------------------------------------- I don't vote in the US, but looking at the issues, I would prefer to see the republicans back in. I think there are way to many left wing non-christian radicals in the democratic party. Quote:

I would conjecture that you take that position because it isn't your money they are draining from the treasury, and isn't your country's natural beauty they are devastating.

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. - Ecclesiastes 5:10 Naked a man comes from his mother's womb, and as he comes, so he departs. - Ecclesiastes 5:15 I'm concerned about US (and Canadian) policies on abortion, same sex marriages, just to name a few. History has shown us that when moral standards go down so does the country. Last edited by Struick; 02-17-2007 at 10:18 PM. |

theres plenty of right-winged Christian radicals in the republican party too y'know. Infact, way more radicals in that party than the democrats. Most democrats are rather moderate. But when I listen to people like Jerry Falwell, Pat Buchannan, and Frank Miller, I shudder when they say things like "Gay teletbbies" and "Women belong in the kitchen", and "Affirmative action is racist". Thats much more scarier than them not being Christian.
In a separation of Church and State, one should not look at the religious views of politicians first, but rather their stance on issues. If religion was the most important thing, we'd be a theocracy, not a democracy. Well, we're not even a democracy really. Bush didn't even get elected by the people the first time, he got appointed by the Supreme Court. and the Sup. Court doesn't get elected by us, so really, these last few years have been anti-democratic, and its about time to see some true democracy in action. I know we're a republic, but when Bush says "democracy" he really means "council appointed republic". I'd vote for Ralph Nader before any of them anyways. Now hes a guy who can run a country and run-out all the carpet bagers and pork-barrel eaters. |

I can't vote for anyone who supports the slaughter of those who can't defend themselves. I am not embaressed to be pro-life and pro-family. I am not in love with either party but the demos seem to embrace everything that goes against who I am and what I believe. Don't get me wrong God isn't a registered Republican but the democrats seem to have sold all their decent moral values to buy votes from anyone and everyone.
I firmly support anyone heres right to disagree with me- vote your conscience but by all means vote- God bless America |
