Words will never be able to describe the splendor and majesty of Heaven...

I could only imagine,like the song says that we will not know when we are surrounded by HIS glory; what our hearts will feel?...will we dance, (or in awe) be still, stand, or fall to our knees, sing hallelujah or be able to speak at all????...

To see my Savior face to face is more than I can get my little mind around! We have NOTHING to compare to it; it is INCOMPARABLE!!! HIS Awesomeness is beyond ANYTHING that we could ever be able to describe.

All I KNOW for sure is when we get to Heaven will be HOME!!!

Revelations 4:1-11 (i would read in a few translations) just blows my mind and bows my heart

Worship in Heaven

1After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." 2At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. 3And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. 4Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads. 5From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, 6and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.


And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: 7 the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. 8And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,

"Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come!" 9And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created."

Worship in Heaven

They were all clothed in white and had gold crowns on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. In the center and around the throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and back. 7 The first of these living beings was like a lion; the second was like an ox; the third had a human face; and the fourth was like an eagle in flight. 8 Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—
the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”
9 Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever), 10 the twenty-four elders fall down and worship the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever). And they lay their crowns before the throne and say, 11 “You are worthy, O Lord our God,
to receive glory and honor and power.
For you created all things,
and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

Try to take in all of those descricptions and try to imagine, even with a good imagination, what cannot even begin to scratch the surface of what that will is like

Heaven is where God dwells!

Heaven is a place of perfect peace!

Jesus is preparing a place for us in heaven!

Heaven is a place for selected occupants only!

We will recieve crowns and fellowship with other christians!

It's true that Jesus is in heaven preparing a place, office or reward for us but, Rev. 22:12 says “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work."
It doesn't really say we will go to heaven to recieve that reward.

Life is so awesome...I can't imagine what heaven will be like. I hope there are challenges, projects, kids, water, fishing, and complete life in the Lord. I'm listening to my 1 year old try say mitten at the moment, makes my heart soar.

Heaven will be beyond our imagenation. To even think the wonders that God will come up with the make it more amazing then we could ever fathem!

I remember hearing the story of a young boy who was being teased by an atheist. The man asked the young lad where he expected to go after he died. "I'm going to heaven to be with Jesus," the boy replied. Sneering, the man then asked, "But what if it turns out that Jesus is in hell?" "Mister," the wise lad answered, "you just don't understand. Wherever Jesus is, it will be heaven."

Barb, I don't think it matters a jot whethere heaven is somewhere up in the sky or here on earth. It's not about where it is, but about Who is there.

What will it be like? I think about the most awesome experiences I've ever had in God (and there have been a few), them multiply it by about a zillion...
