SECURITY REMINDER.

We have recently had to ban a couple of members when they allowed non registered people to access the forum using their username and password.
This happened because they did not log off and someone with access to their computer used it to login.
We take the security of our members and the forum very seriously and this is not acceptable.
Please log off when you leave the forum. If anyone who is not registered gains access to the forum because of your lack of care we will have no choice but to close your forum membership

But if I am the only one using the computer could this still happen ? I always shut my computer down after I am finished using it . Do I need to log out of CFS as well..... and then I have to remember my access code and I find that a pain.

Do you give second chances for the ones that "lacked care" ?

Dusty - I'm the only one to use this computer. I clicked on the remember-me ticker and don't have to constantly provide my password and such...I've never had any problems. I think pretty much everybody knows that my computer is hands-off. One time, one of my co-workers asked for my password so that she could send some of my information to the payroll people. I guess I snapped.

"There's no reason for you to be in my office," I told her.

"If payroll needs that information from me, they can call me themselves!"

Then of course, to access my computer you need a password as well...so it's locked pretty much all the time.

I apologized to the coworker later on, but she is kind of the snoopy type.

Ramsey - everybody makes mistakes...but it's the damage that can be done by a potential non-Christian that does the harm.

Can you imagine how I'd feel if someone signed on using your name and began talking bad-talk? I'd feel so bad for you. On this end, I wouldn't know if it was you or not. Does anybody else use your computer, Ramsey?

You have a good heart - but not everybody who uses your computer might share that trait.

Oh no no one ever gets into my stuff. I have my own user name at work with a pass and also at home with a password. If I write messages where I am more bold than usual, or sometimes more joke-type, it's all part of who I am and how Jesus wants us to be.
It's not for me but for a sister of ours.

I know it may hard sometimes to trust the person, maybe some of them might think that the person wrote something bad and then lied about writing it and said it was someone else yet the person did not lie so that's where trusting that person comes in. I believe everyone deserves a second chance unless the situation is completely destructive lol

Whirlwind .... I don't work LOL ... And I live by myself so no body else has access to my computer but what I am wondering ... does that mean that hackers can get access to my information .... I am confused.

It asked me if I am sure I want to log out and I said cancel cause I had a problem when I did that before and couldn't get back and Jeff had to log me in, so think because I am the only one here and no body else uses my computer it is easier for me.

Dusty you shouldn't worry if no one uses your computer

We all trust you and we know your personality. If you start cursing and promoting satanism then we know it's not you lol
