Default An idea to lower perversion

I can not believe how easy it is for anyone to find or obtain pornographic material. If I were to type something into google I could go to an adult website just like that. I am sure that a lot of young people that are going through puberty have gone to these websites easily. Well I believe that they should make it harder to go to those kinds of websites. Heck it would not be that hard. In the United States of America it is illegal to gamble online, and when someone tries to use an online casino a message pops up stating ( I dont recall) then it closes the browser or does something else. ( a few different things could happen I think, I saw it on a special on a tv 2 years ago)

Well my idea is that the government should enforce stricter rules, so that less minds will be perverse. Before the internet I am sure that there were some people who may have seen one video or something, who stopped shortly after because they did not want people to think that they are perverted. Well since the internet was made people can access it easily without anyone knowing. That is what needs to be changed.

Here are a few things that the government could do are:

A person should have to enter there I.D./ Drivers license number.

They should have to sign a legally binding contract where then companies can send them advertisements through the phone and web.

The person should get an automated phone calls asking whether or not they were on there within a couple of days. Every time they are called they have to agree that they were on there because they were, otherwise they would have to show evidence it was not them, if not a small investigation to find out who.

The information of who goes to those sites should be made public, possibly placed in a public place like the library besides the web. Maybe they should include a photo of them.

Or maybe it could all be regulated by the government and people who go on there have to enter there social every time.

So here are a few ideas. Does anyone here think that any of these are a good idea? If so would you like to try to help spread this idea and see if we can make a difference. If not, maybe we could try to come up with a better idea.

If only it were so simple. Do you remember what prohibition was? Alcohol was made illegal and it's sale and distribution skyrocketed. I am afraid there is but one cure for perversion and all other sin- death to the flesh and new life in Christ.
Also - the Federal government is the most inefficient way in the world to run anything. The state and local governments may do a better job but that looks like a great place for corruption and blackmail to take place. Personally I am not for porn but neither am I for a big brother monitoring all I do- I do not personally think that would be constitutional.

When I said small investigation, I meant really small ^^; like someone calling and talking until they find out who. No one actually showing up. If it really was not the person, and none of there family or friends they can tell them. That way in case there pc was hacked and is being used secretly to store files, they could find out. That is if they would want to. The person on the phone would ask. Heck they could fix peoples pc while they look, that is if they agree, so that people would actually like it.

I was thinking something a little big yet not too big so that there is hopefully no corruption or black mail. They could get volunteers from churches to help, I don't know. If you have a better idea could you let me know.

ALL porn sites should be illegal in my opinion. It's too easy for teens and children to get into them.

I agree that something should be done to restrict access of the material to children, but I don't agree that the government should be involved because they'd want to start tacking on taxes for their services. Safe Browsing Tax - $1 per session. Instead of .com, pornographic material will be under a .prn extension...and oh, that costs money too. So there's another tax of a buck-fifty. We need to create censorship centers and pay employees to watch everything, so there's another Service Fee Tax.

Before you know it, taxes would cost more than the internet service itself. Then they'd start acting like they owned the internet and start charging for email and such.

In short, parents should know what their children are looking at constantly. If a parent can't watch their own child, then maybe it's time to give up the net.

I hate porn and believe it should be illegal - whether peope like the idea or not, it affects the whole of society (the corruption of the individual is the corruption of society.) However, the sad truth is that it is legal, and as long as it is the government is limited in what it can do about it.

However, pedophelia is not legal, and the government(s) should be doing everything possible to crack down on and remove the sites promoting it. When I was searching for a Christian forum to join, I came across one search engine listing for a supposedly "Christian" site promoting "boylove" (for those who don't know, that's a euphemism for pedophelia.) This was the same search engine that in China blocks sites that are not acceptable to the government, so I can't see why it would not be possible for them to block sites like that.

blessings,

Lynn

I am against Pornography, but my political stance upon it is that the government should have no intervention.

I just don't believe the Government should be trying to take care of us, and watching all of us like that. I believe in a small federal government that is to report to the States.

The only way morality will prevail is through Jesus Christ, and faith in Him. God forbade Adam and Eve from eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden, but did that stop them? No.

I am not liberal, and I do not support Porn, but I feel that if we want people to do what is right, then they should have to choose to do so.

I used to be ADDICTED to them before I was saved. And trust me, just because the government would ban them, does not mean people would stop going to them.

Just my $0.02

For me to stumble upon this post today is amazing.

I am not for Porn. I truly believe if one is a true follower of Christ, that they are not for Porn as well. In my most recent relationship with a Christian man, he had the weakness for it. It had stolen much from him.

I was just in prayer before reading this post, I have a hard time understanding why there are so many people wandering around questioning their sexuality. The ads on dating sites men looking for men, women looking for women etc is sickening to my stomach. I was in sexual sin for many years looking for a man to love me and make me happy.

Until I learned of the one man that loves me unconditionally, Jesus Christ I had kept in my sexual sin.

My prayer to the Lord today was Lord please use me in any way to help others find their true identity through you Lord. I feel we as beleivers need to be talking to anyone that comes in our path, encourage them to go to Christ. Parents need to know how to build healthy foundations for their sons and daughters. They need to build that foundation of Jesus in their homes. If the adults do not know who Jesus is and understand the life of sin they are living in, how can they teach the younger generation.

Mothers need to be talking to their daughters of what inner beauty is. Fathers need to be talking to their sons of what they will feel as they mature in their bodies. They need to share with them of lusting after women with the eyes and such.

I applaud you for wanting to make a difference. I am sure there are differences that can be made with the computers and such. However I strongly believe in my heart, the biggest difference that can be made is for all of us to strengthen our own spiritual journey and share with people that Christ is the way.

As one accepts Christ as the Savior and Lord of his life, they shall learn of his love and where the pleasures of life come from.

Think of those close to you now. Do you have a son , daughter, friend, local young one at the cashier's desk at the store, the boy that pumps the gas, do you have adult friends who do not know Christ.. this is where we truly can lower perversion.

Oh Heavenly Father, there is a burning desire in my heart to help people find their identity, their identity in you, please use me each and every day as you may to share your word.

Amen

I am not for porn either. Couldnt possibly be interested in it after what Jesus says, how it leads to death.

Especially since I've always thought how the private parts are for discharging of fluids and waste. They are dirty regions in the body. How can humans obsess about those parts?
