I'm back for awhile to share some thoughts from the book Beyond the Veil which I am reading right now. It is about entering into intimacy with God through prayer. The author, Alice Smith, and her husband were watching a medical program on tv one night. Her's what they saw:
"They showed an open heart surgery. Two human hearts were laying side by side. Each was beating at different rhythms. The surgeon moved them together, until the tissue of one heart touched the other. Suddenly, both assumed the same rhythm." This is an amazing picture of intimacy. As our hearts touch the Father's heart, we assume the same rhythm, the same desires and the same goals. The more we know Him, the more we love Him. Hopelessly in love with Him, our goals are lost in His. His burden becomes the focus of our intercession. We begin to see issues as He sees them. We begin to see through His eyes. Our hearts become united with His. I've noticed lately, the more time I spend on my knees and in His Word, the less I want of the world, and the clearer I see how to react to a situation. The hungering heart that burns with desire for intimate communion will be enabled by the Holy Spirit to taste the joys of heaven and experience the ecstasy of seeing many people prayed into His Kingdom. I have stepped away from the forum for awile to concentrate on my relationship with Heavenly Father. I found that I was depending a lot on others to answer my questions. While I need the fellowship, I am finding so many peaceful times fellowshipping with my Lord. I will still be on from time to time, just wanted to say, "Hey" and that I love all of you for your friendship. Love, Sweets

Sister; that is an awesome book; I have read it.
Praise God for the intimate times with Him. Had an awesome time of fellowship today and so thankful that the Lord has brought together "hearts that beat after His"...we are kindred spirits; brothers and sisters in the Lord. The heart surgery that He does on us yields awesome healing and fruit. Glad to hear that you are well and just wanted to say hello... ![]() |
