LOL I'm a printer and I print a hunting magazine and it hurts me to see humans holding a dead animal that they shot by its horns
Humans are also becoming over populated but that doesnt mean we should kill one anotherlike some say, maybe it would be a sport if the deer also had a gunbut its not a sport if there's always gonna be one winner from the begining
yes, I understand,we gotta eat meatand we gotta kill to eat I've had a few animals and when I look into their eyes I can see they have little souls and spirits of their own
peace

You know, I never really liked it either. It'll make me cry if I see an animal dead...yeah, I'm a little sensitive.
When I look in a pet of mine's eyes, I see love, a heart, a mind. Not just a little ruthless beast I have to control.

I agree. But it seem like a lot of the time humans overstep what they should be doing. Namely with how we have destroyed much of the environments that are necessary for some gentle creatures as well as purposely hunting some of these creatures to extinction.

I think one of the problems today is people eat too much meat. This combined with our "overpopulation" leads to some very big issues. I think that we should think about our diets better. In doing so we would be trying decrease the amount raised livestock, so we can use more farmland for crops that would go straight to use instead of going to feed the huge amount of livestock.

Because God has blessed us with such an abundance of deer, I can harvest 3 each season, this, 4 hogs and one grain fed steer usually get our family through the year.

It would be a better world if all people had such a passion for animals as you seem to have. Then they would take the time to see the hurt and damage that overpopulation cause and behave more responsibly.

It is a fact, that responsible hunting and population management directly lead to stronger, healthier and more abundant wildlife for everyone to enjoy.

That is true .... Good deer meat if it is cured and aged right is delicious. A bit gamey . When I lived up in the highlands of Scotland that is probably the only kind of meat they ate . The only problem was when I was working there I had to make deer kidney, heart and all the other insides for a man who loved to have that for breakfast and I would almost barf with the smell every time I had to cook it

U ne I couldn't agree with you more.
To much meat is an understatement...overdose is better. While meat supplies us with protein and other stuff, what about our nice veggies?!

As long as it is done in a good, respectful manner and people aren't just shooting deers and different birds down as if it's the supermarket then they can do it.
I agree, I don't believe in hunting just for "Sport" or "trophy" hunts.
If you take it, you should eat it, otherwise, leave the meat for the people who need the food.

I don't understand why anyone would shoot an animal just for the trophy.
In fact, I throw the head back for the coyotes, I dont have an extra $200.00 to have it mounted.

I don't (and won't) buy food from the grocery stores. They feed that livestock all sorts of hormones and growth chemichals that I won't allow on my dining room table so shopping in the meat section just isn't an option for me.

I know where our beef, pork, chickens, come from, and what they have been fed.

oogii, I would never support killing people as a means of population control, I hope I did not give that impression.

I'm afraid you and I do not share the same view with regard to animals having souls. Personally I do not believe that Jesus Christ suffered and atoned for the sins of a pig or a deer, but as I said before, I thank God for people like yourself who have such great compassion.

Peace be with you also.

Your right animals do not have souls. They may be cute and all but there is a line to be drawn.

Anyways, that's fine if you don't believe they have souls or not. We all see something different. I cannot say for sure if animals have them or not because I can't see into them.

If they do...well, they do. If they don't, they don't. It's best not to get upset about it like some people do. At least you guys are respectful and kind about it.
