There are three people in the New Testament whom Jesus raised from the dead. One was a child, one was a young man, and one was an older man. As a picture of salvation, these three resurrections well illustrate the importance of being saved EARLY in life so as to be more free to serve God:
1. The Twelve Year-Old Girl - Mark 5:35-42 She arose and walked 2. The Son of the Widow of Naim - Luke 7:11-15 He only sat up and spoke 3. Lazarus - John 11:43-44 He was bound hand and foot. All three were unmarried ? Why Jesus didn't raise married person? Any spiritual expalnation?

Daniels - if you read the entire Chapters that these incidents took place in, you will see a pattern. These 'miracles' were done to show the unbelievers in those regions that belief in God and faith in Him would be a first step to salvation. Christ did these things to show that God is merciful and loves all His children. Raising several from their death beds was a very good way to get the attention of the people; the unbelievers and those who were weak in their faith - and to show them the power of God by example. God does not want anyone to perish as unbelievers, but to be with Him in the eternity... so through the actions of Christ, He showed the people nearby that God IS love and God IS merciful.
Of course, there were some - especially the Pharasees, who discounted God's works through Christ, but I will venture a guess that MANY persons were brought to God after witnessing those events. |

And then, too, we have to remember that the gospels only give a part of what Jesus did. Was it in Mark that its written "I suppose that if everything Jesus did were written down, the whole world could not contain it" ? or something like that.
He did many many more things than could be written down. The writers of the gospels only picked certain ones to make their points. There could have been many more raised from the dead, we just dont know about it. IMO being single is immaterial in this instance. Although, I never noticed that. Good eye!

Amen you guys.
Sometimes I think when we focus on the unimportant , I believe it is satan who wants to distract us. I really don't think it is important if it is single people , married , male or female. Turn your eyes upon Jesus ... Look full in His wonderful face and the things of this earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.

I would guess it is all a coincidence.
However just to add something. Paul seems to say its better not to marry, but I am not sure if this is a personal thing for him or perhaps something Jesus taught him at some unseen moment. |
