Default Sin - So?

Look To The Cross . . .

Every answer we ever need is found in the Cross!

Thank You Jesus!

Amen- He knew every time you would stumble and every mistake you would make and yet He choose to save you. Don't walk but run to Jesus.

Life without Jesus is hopeless; in Him only is there hope. I don't mean as some say, "I hope I make it to heaven." We're told that we can KNOW that we have eternal life. WE don't have to hope we do.

Certainly the answer for sin is in Jesus' work at the Cross. Praise God that when we do sin, we can run back to Him and receive forgivenss.

However, we should never allow that wonderful provision to allow us to become glib about sin, as if it doesn't really matter. Sin matters so much that it caused God the Son to give up all the glory of heaven, to lay aside all the power and prerogatives of Godhood, and to come to live on this earth (which must have seemed like a garbage tip to Him after the holiness of heaven.) It caused Him to allow the people that He had created to take Him, mock Him, beat Him beyond recognition and nail Him to a Cross to endure the most agonizing and ignomonious death imaginable. He did it not just to purchase our forgiveness so that we could "continue to sin so that grace may abound", but to make it possible for us to receive a new life that would transform us into His image. When we look at what our sin cost Jesus, we should have an overwhelming desire for holiness.

blessings,

Lynn

Of course. We must also avoid the condemnation that comes from not knowing how to accept His gift of forgiveness as we will never be truly sinless. If we follow after Him and we are quick to repent when we stumble we will not go wrong.

That is the key and as the Holy Spirit convicts , we need to be quick to respond , lay it all at His feet, repent and accept His forgiveness and forgive ourselves and any other if we have wronged them...... Just as if we never sinned putting all into His sea of forgetfullness.

We must love unconditionally like Jesus does.

Condemnation and judgment drives people away.

Love and compassion draws them near.
