Wrongs? I don't have any! OK, that was wrong. Actually, with so many people telling me how wrong I am, I have no problem admitting it.

I've done some awful things in my life. Some things that I'm so embarrassed about, it's hard for me to get on my knees and face my Father and admit to Him that I did the things that I did while I wasn't in my right mind. I'm so ashamed when I come before my Lord that way.

Every now and then, I think of new things. They pop into my memory. These, of course, are crazy things that I did when I was in my younger days. But I did them just the same. When something is so horrible in my mind that I cringe, I have to speak to my Father immediately.

I tell Him what I did and what I was thinking at the time. I tell Him how sorry I am. I ask Him to take those things away from me, and I promise Him that I will do my best to never do those things again.

Dean, I'm a strong believer in the 12 Steps. But the one thing that really bothered me in treatment and in AA was that some people are left open to decide their higher power. One of my friends (who is dead now) decided in the program that his higher power was going to be the Force, from Star Wars. I remember another guy in treatment who wanted his Mom to be his higher power. This always made me so sad, even though I know that I should have been focusing on my own recovery. The 12 steps brought me closer to God, and I believe that as a program, they were inspired by the wonders of our Lord. He moves strongly in the 12-steps, I truly believe this.

As far as confessing to other men, I don't do it unless it's someone that I've wronged in the past. Then, it's hard for me to find the courage and strength to seek them out and admit what I've done wrong. Sometimes they're angry with me for never telling them. That's okay. I did my part. Other times, they hug me and we become best buddies. That's the ones I like. Actually, I like it either way...because it's off of my soul then. I'm clear to ask God and Jesus to wash me clean then.

Thanks Dusty;
We should not choose to sin being filled with the Holy Spirit we are
no longer slaves to sin but to righteousness...
If we examine our hearts, God will reveal any unknown sin or thoughts that are not pleasing to him. May we all be willing to receive the truth of ourselves: we are sinners saved by grace...Hallelujah! and we should "go and sin no more"...

As far as past SINS go, the Lord has been gracious to forgive, cleanse, heal and deliver me from many things...Hallelujah!!! He has even removed the guilt of the sin and I no longer have the burden of guilt because my God has forgiven me and cast it into the Sea of Forgetfulness... he has removed my sins from me; as far as the East is from the West. He may use it to remind me of my weakness and need for Him even today.

I thank Him for saving me and giving me the power and life to enable me to choose not to sin and to live a life that is pleasing to him in all ways...

Amen .... Worshipper . We serve a mighty God and sometimes we want to do things our way and we fail . But God's way is the ultimate way and as we grow in Him we come to realize that we need to lay all at the foot of the cross. Jesus is all we need .

There isn't always a WHY, then what?
