Hi All,
Just thought I'd share an "OOOOOOPS!" moment I had yesterday (Wednesday). Wednesday is my day "off" when I catch up on things like washing, shopping and housework (all my least favorite things!) I had been talking with a friend in the morning, and at the end of the conversation she said something like, "Enjoy the rest of your day." My response was, "Yeah, sure. Wash up, make the bed, do the shopping, clean the house - real exciting!" Then I went in and started doing the dishes, and it struck me with almost the force of a rebuke from the Holy Spirit - this should be exciting! Washing the dishes means I have dishes to wash - some people don't. It means I have had food to eat - some people haven't. It means I have a kitchen with a sink to wash up in, and hot water on tap; and it means that I have the physical ability to wash dishes. Making the bed means I have a comfortable bed and warm blankets - unlike some people, I don't have to sleep on a park bench covered with newspapers. It really struck me that I should be much more excited about - and much more grateful for - a whole bunch of things that I take for granted, or worse, consider to be a nuisance in my life. blessings, Lynn

When people ask if I’m staying busy, I sometimes say, “too busy”
Then I catch myself and say, "I really can’t complain, there are a lot of people who wish they were busy at work."

You know what I do ? I put all the dishes in the sink , put in the soap and hot water and let them soak.... then later I come back and rinse.... My justification.... I am helping the environment by waiting untill I have enough to wash and I am saving on water ..... Ha ha . ![]()

It is just a difference in personalities- I sing praise while I wash dishes and/or other work.
