Default The importance of being Broken

There is something quite remarkable about one who is broken.
You are not only able to give help, but in the giving you also are helped. You ask a question, and in return and in answering it you are helped.

You are praying with a sinner who is seeking the Lord, and again you are inwardly strenghtened. You may be led to speak sternly with a brother or Sister who has slipped; not only are their spirit revived , but you are inwardly built up.

We are able to receive help from every spiritual contact.
This ability to receive help enables someone elses spirit to touch by our spirit .This is proof that one is completely broken.

Shining the lords holy spirit through us enables him to work and heal others. Lets bear fruit Amen.

God bless
Love brother

Thank you for that Univac. That is exactly how it is, in order to be of service for the Lord in His Kingdom . When you are broken is the time that the Master Potter takes that broken vessel, mends it and makes it new again.

Isaiah 64:8
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Romans 9:21
Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

Our minds are so filthy, our hearts are so filthy. I make me sick. If we don't think we're filthy, we're that much worse for not even noticing it.

The only way we should be able to put up with our ugly selves without killing ourselves is to have the patience and love of Christ with ourselves- knowing that it IS Christ, and He is ALL you have.

We gotta lower ourselves and just watch the Lord work. I don't want Mark to talk anymore, I want him just to shut up, and I'll watch God use this body. and when I observe I wanna see me just standing by, and the Lord doing everything.

All our flesh is equally appalling Mark. The more we look at ( focus on) Jesus and the truth of the new creation the more we see this new creation manifest and the more we look life Jesus in every conceivable way:

2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:6
If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.

Let us therefore become imitators of His endurance; and if we
should suffer for His name's sake, let us glorify Him. For He
gave this example to us in His own person, and we believed this.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit

Surprisingly enough I heard a really good sermon from T.D. Jakes talking about this. I don't usually trust his preaching since I haven't heard much, (And I've heard rumors of him preaching things I wouldn't agree with) but it was quite a good sermon. I guess this doesn't help if you haven't heard it ... so ... ohwell ...

My son has just lent me that exact preach !
I am also experiencing exactly this in my life.
I am an independent person, I get on with things, a survivior if you like.
Believe me we are the worst kind,
we tend to think,
ok, God hasnt done it so I will,
I have learnt the hard way that if God doesnt do it, dont dare do it.
I am experiencing a brokeness and new dependancy on Him,
I am realising that independence is as rebellion.
Tough lesson, but I am very grateful.
