This might make it the 101 times that you say this for you. But for me it's the first time I hear you say this :P
I do not know if you're right, it doesn't make sense what you said before the "hundred times" comment. but your "hundred times" comment has some truth in it. It's up to God, not me. I'm just stating facts from the Bible. If Paul told that to the corinthians, and then to thessalonians I think, and also to Timothy, then are you sure it's the same woman ? and not all women ? Wow she must travel fast :P she's everywhere!! :P Can you also show me where Jesus said to that woman to go preach the gospel to everyone and not just tell the Apostles what she has witnessed? If she did do that, she's not really preaching in a sense of giving the laws of God and so forth, she's only doing this because she loves Christ so much and wanted to tell everyone that He's risen!!! Now that's different than ministering. So here, we're talking about "a certain woman at a certain time at a certain place for a specific reason."

I think a lot of Paul's comments need to be taken in context of the group that he was talking to. In part of the Bible where he talks about not allowing women to preach. That city was having a problem with prostitution and it was a young church. So he took into account that they were newer Christians and didn't want any misconceptions.
What about where he says don't eat meat sacrificed to idols. Then in another book he says eat whatever is put before you without question. It is all a matter of context and who he was writing to at the time. |

What about 1 Timothy 2 ? Stating that men pray everywhere, meaning all men, and then he speaks about women, meaning all women, right?
Then he speaks about Adam and Eve, so this has to do with all humans since then, no? Those who Obey God that is. Set that aside, I do agree with you, unless Paul states that all women and men or something and gives a commandment from the Lord that is evident that it is for all.

I heard somewhere that women have the right to minister to other women (ie a woman's study) or children (sunday school) but they shouldn't be a pastor or a minister in a church. That kind of makes sense to me, though others might disagree. I'm female and I'd much rather have a male pastor than a female one. Why, I'm not sure. Granted, this may just be my opinion and other people may feel differently. Also, I'm sure there are wonderful female pastors.
I think there are many opportunities for women to minister to people aside from being a pastor in a church.

You already knew the answer :P I love studies at someone's house, would be nice brothers and sisters together ![]() "I'm female and I'd much rather have a male pastor than a female one. Why, I'm not sure." I believe God made us this way, and Jesus was a male, unless anyone wants to disagree :P go ahead :P I find it wrong, female pastors and so forth. It feels wrong.. I don't know if God minds I'm just giving Paul's statements. We live in an age where many females are wicked also and some are even worse off than those who sold themselves in prostitution. So what Paul said applies to before and also now.But if they go and preach to some, I don't see anything wrong with that. In fact, I'd rather have a woman beside me when I preach to people than a man.

Well my dear that opens up a whole kettle of fish that I refuse to participate in but just to say that we have women pastors in my church and the Senior Pastor is a woman. I don't have a problem with it but know there will be many who want to debate this issue. Like they say to each his own and what ever floats your boat . Not being sarcastic here, just trying to lighten up.
