I just (Hopefully temporarily) sort of lost a friend because of arguing. We are too different, so there was lots of arguing. I'm not going to elaborate anymore, because there will be no blaming here, just a heads up...
"It's all too easy to insult someone by stating the truth as you see it. We ALL must learn when to humble ourselves enough not to give the truth unless it is clearly and specifically asked for, and be careful not to elaborate so much as to be perceived as making assumptions." -Mark I was bugged by how doing this is like lying or dumbing down, BUT, that is far from the truth. It is actually Christ-likeness, which is fancy and effective truth-telling! Let us absorb that and get it down to a practical way of behaving.

In today's ever so hardening world, the true meaning of friendship has been pushed to the wayside, as so many other things.
On the first forum that I ever participated in, during daily conversation, a lost cousin and I were re-united. We began what I felt was a new friendship, only to find out that she was quite the user. The owner of the forum also became a friend, or at least I thought. But is was a very short lived mind game and there never was freindship involved on their part. One was so messed up on very hard pain medication for chronic pain and the other loved to tip the bottle. My cousin was the greatest disappointment, as she began using people to simply make her self better liked by the staff. I should have caught on quicker when she told me that she and her brothers and sister had been totally pushed out of her life because everyone was out to get her, and how she trampled on the family name laughing all the while. Reality so many times is very upsetting and digs deeply in those hearts who are faced with it's realization. |

Pro 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Let your friend cool off for a while and then let them know that they are more important to you than an argument. A wise man once told me this- "sometimes we have to build a bridge of friendship that is able to sustain the weight of truth."

Jesus Christ is our True friend.
Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love. deceitful.27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things
