A little more reference material for you if you wish: (click on each scripture for text) -
Throughout the Old Testament, they are refered to as 'familiar spirits' - such as in Leviticus 19:31 (KJV), Leviticus 20:6 (KJV), Deuteronomy 18:11 (KJV), 1 Samuel 28:3 (KJV), 1 Samuel 28:9 (KJV), 2 Kings 21:6 (KJV), 2 Kings 23:4 (KJV), Isaiah 8:19 (KJV) as well as Isaiah 19:3 (KJV). In the New Testament, from the Greek language, we can also see these spirits referenced in nearly the same manner in places such as Matthew 9:32 (KJV), Matthew 12:43-45 (KJV), 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) and Acts 16:16-18 (KJV) just to list a few of many. |

Agreed - there are no ghosts and we have until our last breath to accept the substitutionary work of Christ as our own.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Ditto.... That's why me thinks she is either a gifted smarter than average 13 year old who is way beyond her years or maybe older than she states. No offense intended. Even my self in my old age do not know much about this stuff. ![]()

If I could just add a bit to this thread.
When Jesus was walking on the water the disciples said "its a ghost". Now Jesus did not say no there is no such thing as ghosts he just told them to not be afraid "It is I" I would like to think that He would have made it clear to his disciples that there is no such thing as ghosts at this point, if such a thing was in fact true. For this reason and others I would say that in my opinion there are ghosts. As to there origin, I read a book recently that explained ghosts and spirits as different beings than the fallen angels. This may be controversial to you but I want to state this option as an answer to the thread question. The book talked about the nephilim ( offspring of fallen angel and human women ) in the time before the flood and shortly after ( Goliath and his 4 brothers ) Since the Nephilim were not human and not angels, they ended up as ghosts when they died in the flood or however. Their angel fathers were send to the lower most part of hell till final judgement for their very evil actions. There is no mention of spirits and ghosts until after the flood. The book stated that angels can take Physical form and don't need a body to possess but the spirits do as they lost theirs when they died. If the book is correct and this is the case, I would believe that when Christ comes for us the spirits will remain in their present state or take on the body of some poor unbeliever now or in the time of tribulation and eventually end up in front of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit at the time of the great white throne judgement. This view may not have a lot of following but it does make Biblical sense and fill in a lot of loop holes and gaps in the what ifs people wonder about concerning this topic. |

Most assuredly there are 'undecided believers'. When they expire they have only one place to go, if they have not decided to chose Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We as humans have only two options as to how we will spend eternity and they are Heaven or Hell. There is no in between, nor can a decision be made after our expiration.

When people die, their spirit, soul, or whatever one wants to call it goes to be with the Lord IF they're saved, and it goes to hell if they're not. There is no other place they go, and there are no ghosts roaming around on earth. Just because people believe in them doesn't make them real.
