Default YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE or LIGHT MY FIRE??

Two oldies, one could be about God and the other one obviously selfish and so surface. I used to be so surface that I sought only pleasure for the moment, until I surrendered my life to Christ and He lit up my life.

Now I am having a hard time not "seeing dead people." Dead people as we once were before we died with Christ.

We were sitting in our car in the parking lot, waiting for the fireworks to start. I was just watching all the lost souls walking here and there, wanting to tell them that they need Jesus.

I don't know what's happening to me, but I think it's something good, cause I'm in the Word all the time now and He's renewing my mind and I just would rather be with Jesus than anyplace else in this world. I am still holding onto the hope that my husband will see his need of a savior also.

I've also been peeking into CFS, reading all the good posts. Meeting all the newbies. Thanx for being here! Bonnie

Bonnie - Scripture tells us in several places to 'fish' slowly for new Christians.

An analogy would be that if you throw out the heavy anchor from the boat, it makes a big splash, makes waves and you may just get one fish that way while the others scatter ( too much effort from you all at once ).

However, if you 'fish' slowly with a little 'bait' and very quietly, each fish will nibble at the bait and eventually more will be 'hooked' by the Word of God and the Gospel of Christ than if you provide them with all your information at once and scare them away.

Stay in God's Word as you are doing. If someone asks you a scriptural question, do your best to provide the information without 'overloading their camel', so to speak. You will be very successful in scattering the seeds of Truth that way and have more of a chance to have those seeds of Truth fall on fertile ground where God can allow them to take root and grow.

You're doing very well and we are proud of you!!

Thanks Bonnie. Those that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. I too am having a" digging time " so to speak where the Lord is also showing me more of Him and getting into the Word more. The last few days , I have been broken and crying a lot and am seeking His face for more direction in my life and like you am being more thirsty for His Holy Word.

I have to say that CFS has helped in this journey tremendously and I just thank every one here.

Your husband will come to the Lord as the Lord has promised household salvation . Am praying for your husband. God Bless you Bonnie as you remain faithful to Jesus and His promises. He will be faithful to you.

Hey, Sweetsurrender! What you could be experiencing when you "see dead people" (I like that analogy, by the way!) is that the more you get into the Word, and get closer to Him, the more He is sharing His heart with you. And His heart breaks for the lost.
Pastor Gary gave great advice. Dont overload. Something I need to hear, as well! ha!
This IS a great site, I too, have learned more and have grown closer to Him thru the wonderful people here and the love that is shown all the time.
