I've been waking up most mornings lately with an old church song stuck in my head...it's a different one each time, but usually a song I haven't heard for a while...years in fact...not sure what God is trying to tell me, or if it's just my mind working in reverse, but...
I thought I'd share my trip down worship memory lane This morning... THE HORSE & RIDER Exodus 15:1–2 I will sing unto the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously The horse and rider thrown into the sea I will sing unto the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously The horse and rider thrown into the sea The Lord, my God, my strength, my song, Is now become my victory The Lord, my God, my strength, my song, Is now become my victory The Lord is God and I will praise Him, My Father’s God, and I will exalt Him! The Lord is God and I will praise Him, My Father’s God, and I will exalt Him! Anyone remember this one?

This song was from the 1970's, and I haven't heard it since mid 80's...I had to look it up online because I'd forgotten how it started... What I woke up with was, Quote:

What about this one Kitsapgirl ?
To God Be The Glory Hymn To God be the glory, great things He has done; So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the life gate that all may go in. Refrain Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice! O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He has done. O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives. Refrain Great things He has taught us, great things He has done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

They used to sing that one in a little non denominal church I attended several years back. The worship leader was a nice Cajun man by the name of Vic- he could play great and cook even better! ![]()
