I am not talking about the English or what ever language is your mother tongue. I am talking about God speaking our language.
Psalm 32:8 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Job 22:22 22 Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. In Matthew 15 : 11 . Jesus is telling us that what ever comes out of our mouth comes from the heart.. What ever we put into our spirit is exactly what will come from our heart and mind. Do not be like the pharasees who said good things and honoured God with words but be intructed by the Holy Spirit . Isaiah 29:13 13 .......The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.

It always makes me smile when my husband says to me 'God said so and so to me', in his cockney accent,
I just cant imagine God with that accent, but of course He meets us where we're at, and talks to us in our voice!

Our God speaks the language of infinite mercy and restoration to me; the Holy Spirit empowered Word of God that saves and heals others as well as myself. Love that song by MercyME Word of God Speak I’m finding myself at a loss for words And the funny thing is, it’s ok The last thing I need is to be heard But to hear what You would say Chorus: Word of God speak Would you pour down like rain Washing my eyes to see Your majesty To be still and know That You’re in this place Please let me stay and rest In Your holiness, Word of God speak I’m finding myself in the midst of you Beyond the music beyond the noise All that I need is to be with You And in the quiet hear Your voice I’m finding myself at a loss for words And the funny thing is, it’s ok Artist: MercyMe

Hi Jax,
Your post brought to mind a girl I knew when I was in Bible College (over 30 years ago). She spoke with a very heavy Scottish accent, and had a missionary call to a South American country where the language was Spanish. We used to just about crack up at the thought of her speaking Spanish with her Scottish accent! God often speaks to me in a distinct (but not physically audible) voice, and when He does it is very definitely my language. I remember one time He had been talking to me to do something, and I had been putting Him off because I was busy. I was standing at the kitchen sink one day, and He was still talking to me about this thing. I looked up and said, "You know, Father, You can really be a bit of a nag sometimes!" Without so much as a heartbeat in between, He replied, "With a daughter like you I need to be!!" (After that I fairly quickly did what He had been telling me!) God doesn't always speak to me this way. Sometimes during my normal reading of the Word a verse will jump out, grab me by the ears, and shake me. Other times I simply have an impression of what to do, and a peace about it. blessings, Lynn
