two things which i dont understand on the end-times timeline..
things which i have seen people dispute and get confused about in the past: -rapture (including or not including secrecy) i have seen people claim that Christians will suddenly disappear inexplicably. but other have said this is unbiblical -1000 year reign of jesus? i have also seen things mentioning Jesus reigning on earth for 1000 years on earth? but again i have seen this contradicted. anyone able to shed light on these? |

My understanding is that the faithful will be transformed to spirit beings and reign with Christ for a thousand years to become preists for the new heaven and the new earth, as intended at the beginging.

The problem with prophecy is that it's REALLY hard to figure out exactly what it means.
Example: The prophecies fortelling the comming Messiah in the Old Testament. Reading thew Gospels we can see a pretty fair number of Jews who were expecting something different. And that's the thing, You get get all the information on what is actually said. Everyones opinion and view on it. but with a prophecy, because it takes placy in an unknown specific setting and specific places, it's not easy to be sure you're correct on anything but the basics of it. This is why I've found it easiest to just read what everyone says. think about what I think it means. and then sit back and wait for what REALLY happens. ![]() As much as I've found out, there's 4 opinions on the Rapture; A Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Those who are Saved are brought up (in some fashion, spiritually, phisically etc..) and then the 7 years of the End begins. Mid-Tribulation: After the 3-1/2 years of Trials and Tribulations those who are saved are brought up. Post-Tribulation: Only after all 7 years have passed are the Saved brought up. No-Rapture: Those who believe there will be no form of a rapture at all. Personally I think it's the Mid one. Eh. May be wrong. but oh well. ![]() As for people dissapearing inexplicitly, well.. As much as I can remember in the Gospels ( a few or all) Jesus said that there would be "2 in the field, one will be brought up, the other left" or somehting similar to that. People cite this as speaking of the Rapture, others of meaning one will be saved (brought to a higher moral/spiritual level) and the other not. There may be more things but sadly I am unaware. I do believe it was very clearly said in Revelation that a City will decend from heaven to the new Earth and there Jesus would reign for 1000 years, then satan will be influential in the world again for a short time before being destroyed forever. Why? No clue, but that's basiaclly what it said. I'm rather tired at the moment and I'm really not wanting to search out specific verses, but I will look tomorrow. ![]() Don't know much myself. Can only tell ya what I"ve seen others say, hope you find the info you want. Peace, I'm headin for a good 10 odd hours of pure uncontiousness.

You left out the pan millennial view which I hold- I will wait and see how it all pans out.

![]() mr7131: With prophecy, it's really difficult to understand at times. Personally, I am just going to let it "pan" out, because so many people say there IS a rapture, and then so many people say there ISN'T a rapture, that it takes some time to decipher. Why I say I will let it "pan" out is because I don't like jumping-the-gun and saying something is going to happen, and then it doesn't. It is the same with the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. I have asked if it is going to be on Earth or somewhere else, but I still have not got my answer so I will just "pan" it out. It seems to me better than bursting my brains over it. ![]() ![]() Near

i suppose you have put it in a more apathetical view of these possible events. I suppose it wont make that much effect on our decisions.
i was prompted for this thread becuase i found this site You've Been Left Behind they send out emails to your freinds post-rapture. not that i was planning on using the serivce, it just brought up the topic. i also wonderd why the world would continue post-rapture? could people still be saved, if not why arent they ended then and there? thought i suppose noone knows this either. no problem though people, thanks for the info

at the end the followers are lifted up,like we lift Jesus God and the Holy spirit up.then the spirits that are left will make a choice to repent or not.these spirits might have killed Jesus,we do not know.
