Better get used to it. Soon the USA will be the ISA, the Islamic States of America. The USA is not specifically mentioned as a world power in the scriptures at Christ's return.

This is indeed sad and tragic, but it can also be turned for good if it motivates us to prayer.

I would like to issue a challenge. Too often, I believe, our prayers are "band-aids" rather than targeting the root of the problems. God was able to confront a young man named Saul of Tarsus, who was the terrorist of his day, and turn him around to become Paul the apostle. If he can do that to the terrorist of that day, he can do it to the terrorists of this day. When I get home, (currently away on a ministry/holiday trip) I am planning to launch "Operation Prayer Target" through our web site. In this we will be asking Christians throughout the world to pray every day for a month specifically for the salvation of one of the "big guys" in world terrorism. If anyone is interested, I'll post more details when it's launched.

That which has happened in the past will be pale in comparison to that which the future holds for this world.

Don't greave for the the martyred, shed no tears for those who have died in His name. Their lot today is by far better than yours or mine.

They have received their reward, their inheritance received, their eternity sealed and settled. They have victory over that which we must battle with today and every day until we are finished here in this world.



Instead pray for ourselves and each other that we may endure until that day.

Live today as Paul did, desiring each day to be absent from this world and present with the Lord.
