Default New Great Depression

There is a really high chance that there will be another Depression worse than 1929. Last year The Fed pumped Billions of fiat currency into the financial market to stop it from crashing with the whole Sub-Prime mess and everyone acts as if everything is fine. A similar thing happened before the crash in 1929 where people thought everything was fine and just like that, over night, a lot of people were broke. This link here explains a little on it A Black Swan - Recession 2008...Depression 2009

It seems that a very small amount of people actually see what is going on yet I am not the only one who sees what is down the road. I hear things here and there about it on the radio or on news channels yet people just brush it aside saying things like " Oh the markets are never going to crash again. The worst thing that could happen is a recession."

Here is another link that I found today by just looking around on the internet.

The Great Depression 2008 - It can't happen to us....can it?? :: The Market Oracle :: Financial Markets Analysis & Forecasting Free Website

As long as everything is based on fiat currency the markets will always crash whether it be 10, 50, or 100 years. If you want to know why here is a video that explains partly on the subject that could inform you a little bit on it, if you did not already know.

YouTube - 1. Corrupt Banking System - Cartels Robbing the Public

Does anyone else here see what is going on?

Well, considering the Depression of 1929 - that was pretty bad. I was not even born in that era, but from historical documents life was not easy in the Depression.

A Depression in 2009? Well, maybe, but I don't like jumping the gun just yet. I like to wait and see before I officially say, "Okay, this is it <insert whatever here :P>.

It could be possible, it could not happen. I am surprised we aren't in a Depression right now.

I will just wait and see.

It was sooo cool when our dollar went above yours for a bit. I was happy about that. :P

Good thing I don't think as highly about money as I used to.

Important for us to be sowing into the Kingdom now, so that if a depression should come, we, as the Body of Christ, will still be able to reap a harvest, and show the provision of God.

Amen and amen, Jax. We are just coming closer to Jesus coming and no news paper or other means of news can depress me. My God shall supply all my need. He is my refuge and my strength in whom shall I be afraid. ?

That's what the media wants to do ... scare people. But also when they do that .... we have a greater opportunity to tell them about the eternal hope they can have in Jesus Christ.

Depression is a time when the rich get richer as they foreclose and own all that the less fortunate have.
I do not think at this time we are going into depression but perhaps deep recession. Time will tell.

If your treasure is in heaven, no depression can touch you. Be rich towards God. That is the treasure that no one can take away. I believe that a depression worse than the 30's is coming, because this time it will include famine like we didn't have before. Still I am not concerned, I agree with Dusty, God will supply all the needs of those who rely on him. Trust in him and he will guide you through every storm and give you all the desires of your heart. His light will shine brightest in the darkness.

Well said, Adonaicole!

The depression will only touch those who worship the dollar and put all of their trust and hope in the pleasures that it can buy.

But those who cast their fears and sorrows on the Lord will always be taken care of.

One of my favorite stories to hear from our elders is how during the Great Depression, the Indians didn't know that there was hard times. Back then, they fished at a place called Celilo Falls on the Columbia River. Since, the falls have been destroyed to build the Dalles Dam.

But white people would come from all over to watch the Indians fish. We'd invite them to eat with us, and they were fascinated at the wonderful feasts we put on the table each night. A frequent question would come up, "My family just ate with you guys...how much do we owe you?"

The Indians would laugh...nothing. The Creator gave this to us, and we're sharing it with you.

God provides when we put all trust in Him, without doubt.

Maybe the dollar needs this? Like a reset button. Push it once and candy goes back down to being a penny apiece?

I agree with everyone that if you believe in the lord he will provide during times of need which is the main reason why I created this topic. What I mean is since we know that a Depression, or hopefully a not as bad recession is coming we should help others and start preparing. Me and my Father have started to stockpile food since about five or six months ago. We have about a 2 year supply of goods stored away. We have can goods, Spaghetti, Rice, toilet paper, laundry soap, hand soap, and several other necessities. Yet that is not enough if we want to help people out.

The other day my Dad talked to one our neighbors Michael and told him what we are doing, and explained that we have a supply for ourselves right now, but that we are now starting a supply for everyone else in the neighborhood. Since my father has told him he has been coming over more lately and talking with my dad.

Anyways my point is that why not start buying and saving things just in case it is really bad. That way you can help you and your family out, and anyone else who needs help during the times of need. I believe that god made it apparent to me and my dad, that we will have to help our neighbors when this happens. So maybe god provides for everyone in our neighborhood through my family.

Draverd, I think that is a great idea. I have not really considered stocking up canned foods and salted meats, but I may now. You can never be to safe.
