Every single morning, I wake up with a Christian song in my head! It's awesome! It's almost as if I'm subconsciously singing this song in my head all night. I do listen to these songs I wake up with, but not right before I go to bed. Rather, in the middle of the day in my car.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Whirlwind

One time I fell asleep with my headphones on. I rolled over and must have hit some buttons on my mp3 player, because that song "If We Are the Body" played over and over and over.

The next day...it wouldn't stop! I'd try to force it out of my head, but it kept on going! Finally, I just went with it.

No better song to get stuck in your head.

Yes! a few weeks ago I kept waking with that song "holy is his name" in my head... but I woke up yesterday and today with "Do the loca-motion" in my head, I don't think I have even heard that song in a long time!

This happens to me sometimes, usually several days in a row, and a different song each day, some I can't recall hearing before, usually at a time when I'm seeking to get closer to God as opposed to just drifting along.... . I'm not very musically minded and don't listen to much music, certainly not every day. I'm looking forward to the day when I can sing properly and make music.

I think it says in Job somewhere "...he gives me songs in the night..." or something like that. Maybe this is what the writer was referring to.

Songs come to me all the time in different situations. Music is part of me and I think God uses it to fill our souls with His messages. Be blessed!

Who am I

I had a rather bad experience several weeks ago.
I was filling up my gas tank on my bike. They have the music piped out to the pump area.
There was a Barry Manilow song playing.
I was done filling up and on my way down the road and the Barry Manilow song kept going through my head, over and over and over…
I couldn’t make it stop.
I don’t have a radio on the bike, so I couldn’t listen to something else to make it go away.
It wouldn’t stop… it was horrifying.
Barry was in my head and he wouldn’t get out.
He just kept on singing.
He wouldn’t shut up.


I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
The government should try that for extracting information from the terrorists.
The war would be over in a week.
