Talking Do you like big or small forums?

I wanted to see what some people preferred.

I know CFS used to be small...now it's medium!

I guess it has grown. When I first started as a guest, just reading posts, there were a whole different set of people on. Of course there were the regulars and that was nice. But now it seems there are a lot of different people too and some who have dropped out I guess.

I think I prefer a bigger one as to a smaller one, though, because it's cool to hear other peoples' opinion on things, even if I don't agree with them.

And, of course, it is cool to get all the different countries we have here on CFS participate. I love CFS the way it is. I haven't really visited another Christian forum site like this one. It's special.

Strange post above ???

I like it here on CFS.
Having been part of forums that arent well moderated and the strong personalities that have been bullies etc, it is good to find a forum like CFS.

NTG-

You have nothing to worry about. Its the Lord that is providing growth or expansion here where its needed to accomodate the mission of CFS just like on Annointed. CFS is one of several of the best Christian Sites I have told others about.

If you could be wondering about the numbers of visiters to the ratio of them becoming members, don't let it fret you. Its the same on the other Sites I frequent also. As people go thru the Sites, God will impress upon each one which Site they belong on. CFS, Annointed nor the other two I frequent will fulfill the needs of all people, but those God knows need what they are seeking, here, there, or on another Site.

Ministry has changed alot since I first started in it nearly 30 years ago. The majority was all person to person or with groups etc in person. A much higher percentage is done more across distance like this now than ever before.

As long as you stay this course and are open to God's leading for expansion as already witnessed, Godwill see you continue to grow and fill more needs as time goes on for people.

God Bless!!

I've got all the bases covered by being on small, medium, and large forums. The small one is nice because I don't get lost in the shuffle-people know me there- and I can more easily keep track of how the other members are doing. Plus, the demographics of it allow me to be a little more wild and crazy than I tend to be on the other forums. The larger ones have more topics and posts, but after a thread has 50 posts, say, I feel like there isn't much point in trying to add anything, plus it takes too long to read the whole thing to find out what ground has been covered. Otherwise, the moderation matters far more than the size. This one and my small one have excellent moderation.

Oh, and the smallest one I was ever on was DivineChristianforums, may it rest in peace.

I like ACTIVE forums. I go to some forums where you can go days and even weeks at a time with no new posts. Others, if you stay away more than two days, it takes hours to read all the new posts; those are my favorite ones.

Jon,

I have the same views as well. The forums don't have to be INSANELY huge like some places I visit (you know, they have so many pages you don't know where to start), but as long as there is a steady stream of posts running in I'm OK. Some forums I have once decided to join but they were like ghost-towns - just quiet and nothing happens much.

I hate forums that are huge, because there are way too many topics to keep track of. This forum is ok, but it takes a day or two usually to have my post responded to. My favorite forum has about 100 actives, not too big, and my posts are responded to usually in 4-6 hours or so. That's the way I like it.

This forum here could use faster responses.

Yeah, me too. I am a member of one forum and all the threads, at least, have up to 10 pages worth of replies. It's frustrating, because you have a hard time trying to respond to the original first post, etc.
CFS has actually grown a lot from what it used to be. It was so, so quiet before. It's grown a lot. Sometimes, it gets quiet here, other times it is extremely active.
