Hello peeps. =/

I haven't been a Christian for long..When I first became Christian,things were fine and dandy.My mentor gave me an advice that I think I'll never forget- "Life isn't a bed of roses,but a Christian life is not just that,but full of thorns as well."

Well,thing is,I've only realized the impact now..my friends have been telling me 'Christians can't do this and that-" so I've been trying to get rid of it all at one shot,to become a better Christian.But now I am feeling so burnt out,and I feel that I can only make the mark,when I am seemingly perfect.Is this true? =C If that's the case,I don't think I can ever be a good christian..Cause just as I think 'hey I'm over this!' along pops another problem that hinders me =(

It's getting to the point where I can't even figure out why I chose to be a christian in the first place,and if it was a correct choice.I know it should be,but I don't know if it is.I'm so confused & frustrated now,I don't even know how to pray!

These people are crazy.

You try. God knows your heart. You pray and He does as He promises in the bible and makes your load light. Gives you rest and what not. If you don't get those things then you're probably not walking with the God I know, which is the God who is. When God isn't quite reality to you yet you forget that He's alive - ask Him. He's alive and active. Give Him your heart, give Him your all. Don't judge other people and don't worry about other people's judgement. Judge yourself only and when something is put on your heart to be changed, make the journey to change it, using God's word as a guide and asking people on CFS for help. People who won't judge you but rather shed light on the situation with God's word so that you may come to some realizations and realize what has to be done.

Judging between people can be so counter productive and make people feel so bad about themselves. Come close to God, He's really cool!

What you're gonna go for is to go from intelligently understanding Christianity as a "religion" and once you come to know God it'll be real. It'll be heart felt, not just "blahhhhh thiss is what the bible says so I'll do it."

Please listen to me, we did what you are doing , got rid of everything other Christians told us were wrong and tried to be good christians, doesnt work, doesnt work at all.
God loves you and called you right where you are, He is the one that will bring conviction into your life IF there is something that is wrong, otherwise dont fret about it.
We cannot be good and cannot change ourselves, the Christian life is an amazing adventure if we do it with Him, if we try and do it ourselves it is a nightmare,
I would suggest that you get before the Lord be totally honest with Him about how you are feeling, and ask Him to show you what it is that you should do, in every area.
Truly the early days of my Christian walk (until some well meaning but ill advised christians started telling us what to do) were amazing.
God is fantastic.

By grace you are saved. Stay in Christ and He'll guide you through. Do not turn to the law so much. By staying in Christ you'll be bettering yourself and dropping things, but it's the easy way. So look deep into what it means to stay in Christ. Like I said He's sooo cool.

He did hear me, but I thought it might sort of mark a friendship between us when you say hi for me.

Signs are showing, but I think there's plenty that needs to happen. Let Jesus prepare your heart so you're ready for the poo that gets thrown your way. As scary as poo sounds you can relax. If you love and trust Jesus, all is good. Things will overwhelm you and stuff. And things can seam to suck. But God will take your worries from you. He can handle the worries of the world you can't. Such things can drive you crazy and cause you to kill yourself. Lucky we don't have to bear that load eh? My brother has been letting the deaths overseas and the people dying never being saved and such get to him and it's not pretty. We have to give those things to God only He can handle it.

People stop giving me things to respond to I'm trying to go out in the rain - if it's even still raining. XD

Brother,
do not major in the minors. Christ chose you just as you are and with all the things you have. The bible declares us to seek first the kingdom of God and his rightiousness and he will add all the things we need. The more we walk with christ and obey his word the closer we get to him I have learned to pray Father do not just help me to do your will rather cause me to understand it and give me the strength and desire to achive it that you may be glorified thru it. Keep walking in his light and you will see the old nature fall away.
