Tonight , here in the UK, MP's(same as your senator's) have voted to allow the creation of Human and animal hybrids for scientific research in the hope of finding cures for diseases.
This will involve fertilising a human egg with animal sperm and vice versa. These embryos will be allowed to develop for up to a couple of weeks. There is no evidence to date that this will in anyway benefit anyone, but it seems our government has little regard for what this means to us as a society. It is a terrible step forward, in a world of no boundaries. Later tonight they are also voting on whether to allow the creation of savior siblings, which is where a child is deliberately created in order to harvest organs or marrow cells etc in order to save another child's (within the same family) life. Whilst I have the utmost compassion for anyone with a seriously ill child, I think it is morally wrong to create a child for the sole purpose of helping another child, human life has to of value in and of itself. Prayers welcome !

I have been praying a lot about this bill and so has my church. It really looks like a major step in the wrong direction.
This decision by our MP's makes me sad. Please keep praying for this country. We do need the Lord to intervene. Just a note of caution to anyone who comments. Please remember the forum does not allow political discussion so keep your comments to the topic rather than letting them branch out into British politics.

Ew. That's like crossing a Thoroughbred with a Guinea Pig...just plain out W-R-O-N-G.
So...what are we trying to do? A James Patterson remake of Maximum Ride? Kids with wings? It works with fiction...it doesn't work in real life.

Geez, if we were to check out scientific records, we'd find from back thru the 50s and 60's man tried the same thing and it never worked. Even after ape DNA was found so close, they could not get such a thing to work.
Secular man may think he is so smart, but so far in this realm he's been awful dumb. Such things will not work successful, its been proven time and again. God Bless!! |
