Default For Judy and anyone else...

For Judy and anyone else who is, or knows someone who is struggling.

I heard a story on our local Christian radio station today.
It was a story about a man who saw a caterpillar making his cocoon. He decided to keep an eye on it through the whole process. Once the cocoon started to move an wriggle, he knew the butterfly was ready to come out. He saw the butterfly make the first hole. He saw the butterfly struggling tremendously. He got out his pocket knife and slit open the cocoon relieving the butterfly from his struggling to get out. The butterfly emerged and immediately fell to the ground and couldn’t fly.

It turns out that the struggling that the butterfly has to do is all part of the process. The struggling to get out of the cocoon is what makes the butterfly’s wings strong enough for him to fly. This poor butterfly however, could not fly, and was doomed to an early death because someone decided to help him with his struggles.

It appears the same is true for us humans. If someone helps us with our struggles, we may not be strong enough to fly and doomed to an early death.
Pray for your brothers and sisters during their struggles and rejoice that they will be stronger when they emerge from their cocoon.

I wonder how many more cocoons I’m going to have to bust out of during my life.

God bless you all.

He Chastens those He loves.

Trials are very necessary. Take them with thanks.

Focus not on time. His promise is good. Wait it out. Would His promises not be worth 300 years of pain on this earth?

Love,

Mark

Thanks Dean.... That is truly a beautiful truth. We can relate so many things to God's creation.

Excellent word Dean........thank you! It's perfect timing because last night I was wondering if I am doing the right thing to a woman who is not ok.......who is sick and pregnant and who is sleeping under a bush with someone who is abusing her.

But, I know she has made her choices. I know she must face the consequences of choosing that life over following Christ.

I have given her to God and He has assured me that He will take her in hand Himself. I have deep peace about her now and know that with all of us praying for her she will be alright. I also know she may be facing some pretty terrible things before she surrenders to His authority.

Thanks my friends for thinking of me and for praying.....you are the best!
