i got this from a pastor of a church near me, just wanted to hear thoughts on it and whether it could work.
i wont copy what the document says word for word but it basically talks about spiritual warfare against strongholds.



strongholds definition: "A stronghold is a mind-set impregnated with helplessness that causes us to accept as unchangeable situations that we know are contrary to the will of God."


El Silvoso on 'Flies'- "A friend of mine was praying with his wife, for a situation in his church - he's the pastor - and they couldn't get a breakthrough and he was getting discouraged. As he was praying something strange happened. A loud of flies enveloped him, he was praying on the beach in Carmel, a beautiful resort city south of San Franscisco. That's strange because there are no flies in California you know, very few flies. So then he sensed that God was trying to get his attention. He said "OK God, what is it, I'm praying and all these flies came over me?" So the Lord said "Go to the public library and study flies". So he went to the public library and he discovered that the US Department of Agriculture has established that the reproductive cycle of a fly goes from four hours after birth to forty days, and after forty days the fly usually dies. So, if they are able to spray an area with disinfectant for forty days, they kill every concievable generation of flies in that area.
Well, one of satan's names is bellzelbul and beelzebul means what? the god of the flies, the lord of the flies. He cannot fight a long fight. That's why the number forty appears to have such significance in Scripture. Forty days of fasting, forty days of intercession, because when you fight the devil for forty days he cannot overcome you, because James already tells us "Submit to God, resist the devil" and what will happen next? He shall flee! That's why double-mindedness is satan's primary objective for you. If he can make you double-minded you are not going to fight to the end so he will hit you hard. That's why when I'm talking about some of these things some of you begin to experience pain, because all these years you have retreated into an area of numbness, you no longer fight for your marriage, you no longer fight for your children, you no longer fight for winning the lost, because you got beaten up so badly you decided "not you" and now the devil says you are going to be hurt again, he brings up the pain and the memories and shoots insecurity into you. That's a lie, that's a lie, that's a stronghold."
El Silviso then went on to say that we can overcome strongholds in our lives and in the lives of those to whom we minister by praying on forty consecutive days, breaking the life cycle of the devil's strongholds".


I think it makes a lot of sense, what do you guys think?
