Well Satan Fears God. And if God is for us, why should we fear Satan?

We have got the Holy Scriptures to test for truth and the Holy Spirit. God will not allow us to be deceived unless we are willing participants OR it is as Jax said for a time (temporary) to glorify God.

One more point...

Christians too often blame satan for their shortcomings, just like atheists unjustly blame God.

satan isn't always to blame. Sometimes we bring the trouble on ourselves and I think it would do us good to accept the responsibility.

If you play with matches and get burnt, who's fault is it? God? satan? Or yours for playing around with something that aught not be played with?

I agree with you there Ginger. So often I hear that thrown around in Christian circles. God still gives us freedom of choice but we all my self included make bad choices so why do we blame it on the devil?

I guess we think we can pass the blame on some one else and who better than the devil? It's called buck passing.

lol

Well Adam and Eve passed the buck first.

"Eve gave it to me."
"The serpent tricked me."

I guess that's just human nature.

And Jesus will destroy them.

Jesus has already conquered death for us.

"Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."

Jesus took our punishment for our sins

But God commends His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I will not fear false gods.

And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.

God Bless you, Smelly.

Amen Ginger. We have nothing to fear. If God be for us who can be against us .

Dusty, that's so true.

We're just like other people. Regular people will blame their mothers, their friends, or somebody completely random for their silly acts.

Like someone said about the matchstick:
So, you're busy dillydalling with a matchstick and it drops on the curtains and explodes in flames. You end up getting it out but who are you going to blame? Well, ever heard of "there are three more fingers pointing right back at you"?
That's pretty much what a lot of people get themselves into. I could say that my tripping was Satan....it was really because I wasn't paying attention to where I was putting my step!
