Default Does Anyone Here Pray to the Holy Spirit?

Versus praying to God or Jesus, someone recently told me they pray to the Holy Spirit. I had not heard this before. Does anyone have comments on this?

Sweet, personally, I think someone is telling you some dangerous thinking.

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One. There's not three gods, but One, our Father in Heaven.

Actually - someone a while back put up a drawing they did on the trinity that I've thought about from time to time...who was that? Is there a way to call back up that image?

I am the same.

He is God. He is here and He is as worthy of praise and prayer as Father and Son.

Indeed Ray. And it is He who reveals the Father's heart to us. It is He who reveals the love of Jesus Christ our Lord and He who moves our heart to the only effective prayer- that being the one that starts in heavens heart which is the will of God.

These are some thoughts I shared recently with a friend on the Holy Spirit:
Three manifestations, three functions, One God. We pray to the Father in the Name of the Son and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This is the scriptural approach. There is however no competition amongst the God head and I talk to the Holy Spirit constantly as He is the One who is walking with me. Our choices and attitude of our hearts are what can grieve Him, quench Him or invite Him to a deeper level of fellowship. The Holy Spirit is awesome in power and gentle in nature so much that the Father did not send Him to dwell in us until Jesus Himself asked.
If you really want to know God then you should develop your relationship with the beautiful personage, the Holy Spirit of God. He is the One who imparts revelation, He is the One who reveals the Father to us, He is the On who shows us what Christ did for us, He is the One who leads, empowers, teaches and etc- He is the very well spring of power that God has given us to live this Christian life through- doing it in our own strength just won't cut it.
As we see in the old testament the anointing oil ( the Holy Spirit could not be applied where the blood (Jesus Christ) had not been applied. Without the Holy Spirit's interaction and fellowship we will never truly know our God.

Holy Spirit prays through me too. He is the One who lays people and things on my heart. I guess I have prayed to Him and asked for things but He's never a different entity other than God the Father.....God the Son or God the Holy Spirit.....

I can't think of any scripture, off the top of my head, which indicates that we pray to the Holy Spirit. Prayer appears to be directed to the Father, in the Name of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. Without Jesus' work of reconciliation and redemption and the Holy Spirit's empowering and enabling, of course, we would not be able to come into His Presence. Both Jesus and the Holy Spirit bring us to the Father. Being as they are One with Him, they are not thus minimized, diminished, or marginalized. While I don't think there is a rigid approach wherein a prayer to Jesus or the Holy Spirit is less likely to "get through", the idea of directing prayer to the Holy Spirit as distinct from praying to the Father smacks of a formulaic, even magical approach, as if by praying to the Holy Spirit you will get something "more" or different.
