i had a fairly laid back day! it was good.
i stayed home from work today coz last night and this morning i felt all flu-ey and yucky, but I feel heaps better now.
I really needed a day off just to spend with God. I loved it

how was your day

That's cool, I'm gald to hear that you feel better. Some colds require a little rest and until you get that rest it usually sticks around until you do.

I spent several hours Monday in our Rectory shop area doing seasonal maintenance on our commercial two way radio equipment that our Chaplains use while responding into natural disaster devastation areas for victim assists. I also reconfigured the last of the weather analysis software in preparation for the 2008 Atlantic Hurricane season.

All necessary tasks - unfortunately...

My day:
Rose about 7am, breakfast, ironing, off to work just after 8am. I am the director of a childcare centre, so the day was a hectic mixture of caring for children, organising staff, office work and lots of other bits and pieces.
Finished work at 5pm, picked up my baby Holly (dog) from my parents who puppy sit her during the day, came home.
Went grocery shopping, unpacked groceries, cooked dinner. Had a shower, chillin out on comp, bedtime about 10pm.

I spent most of the day playing phone tag trying to straighten out the clerical errors and red tape that were messing up delivery of my prescription medications. It would have normally been an aggravating experience but I put on some worship music kind of low and sang along when I was on hold. What a difference in your day that can make.

Hi All so this is a new day Tues. May 6th and I missed this from yesterday but will tell you all I am lovin every day as they are sunny and getting warm and the grass is green and the birdies are back and singing their songs. What a great time to be alive. I love the Spring.

Today , like Larry yesterday , I will be doing a lot of phoning , trying to catch people for the group I am involved in as we are having a Pot Blessing so need people to bring food.

Also my Israel trip ... need to phone the co- ordinator to set up a time and date when he can come to speak to the group.

Have some plants to put out in the garden so will try and do that .

Well that's it for now ...... And who says retirees have lots of time ..... time ... I need more time .... He he

My day today:

I woke up at 6:30, took a shower, got the kids up for school, helped them get ready for school, drove them to school. The oldest forgot her sleeping bag (her class is going to an educational camp for a few days). So, I loaded the two year old back into the car, drove him, grabbed the sleeping bag, and took it back to her school. I spoke to her teacher about something concerning the trip, then loaded my 2 year old back in the car and drove back home. At home, I got breakfast for myself and my 2 year old. Then I organized my articles that I need to read and incorporate into the 50 some odd page paper I am working on. Then at 9 I drove my 2 year old to his mother's day out, where he will be till 11 today. This was supposed to give me 2 hours to come home and work on my paper. Instead it is 10 and I just arrived home from the eye doctors, where my mom needed a new nose guard put on. So, now I have an hour for my paper. At 11 I will pick up my little one. (Oh, I forgot about the phone calls this morning to my old Ob GYN, who apparently can not locate my records and I need something for my new Ob GYN. Later I need to call them back and see if they found it.) After getting my little one at 11, I will come home, make lunch, and then put him down for a nap. Then I will get a couple of more hours to work on my paper, unpack boxes from my move (My Goal has been 3 boxes a day.), and work on doing laundry. At 2:55 I pick up my 6 year old from school, bring him home, talk about his day with him, go over his school work, and by 3:30 I have to be back at the school for a parent teacher conference where the teacher will tell me that my son is ready to advance to the next grade this upcoming fall. After that I come home and will make dinner. I am planning on making Stir fry veggies with shrimp and rice. We will eat close to 5, and then is homework time. I sit and listen to my 6 year old read, and then I get him going on his handwriting. That is when I get to go do the dishes and give my 2 year old a bath. When my 6 year old finishes his homework, then he takes a bath. Then I get some time to "work" on things I need to do until it is bed time. The boys will play until then. At 7:30 we brush our teeth, and I read them from the Bible story book. Tonight we are beginning volume 2. At 8 they go to bed. Usually at 8 is when I start folding all the laundry that I have washed for the day.... which I am doing laundry today so tonight I will be folding. I will watch one tv show while I fold, and at 9 I will go up to my room with my dozens of articles and read. I will read from about 9 - 10, so that tomorrow I will have things to incorporate into my paper. To give you an idea of how much reading is involved in writing this paper, I have already gone through 2 packs of 500 sheets in my printer and used6 ink cartridges for printing the articles. I don't end up using everything that I must read. This paper is about 50 pages and I have a total of 4 weeks to write it in...... although, over 1 week has already passed. And I am on page 5. (Most of the first week was spent on research, printing, and reading.)

So, at 10 I go to sleep.....and I'm up every couple of hours because of being this pregnant..... and tomorrow I will get up at 6:30 am again and start the day over. Only no mother's day out tomorrow, so the day changes some.

Okay, now I wasted all this time writing about my day and so I have only 40 minutes now to work on writing my paper.

Woke up this morning to the sound of thunder (glorious sound!) It rained all morning, so my grandson and I sat on the porch and watched it rain for a while, then we went in and laid on the floor and played cars and built towers out of blocks.
Then the rain stopped, so we went outside to hunt for bugs (his favorite thing!), got all muddy playing chase and hide and seek.
Came in for lunch and cartoons (the older ones, not those strange new ones)
Now, he is down for a nap, and I am going to try to squeeze some time in for a shower!
