This topic is always a hot one. With things in the east going as they are, and with the book of revelation being so poetic and cryptic we all have a right to our view ( like people have already stated ). ITs just so important that we agree on the basic foundational truth that man is sinful and needs Christ for salvation.
Anyway here is my question. Jesus said nobody knows the "day" or the "hour" but can we know the season? And if so, maybe thats what is unfolding here. With more science and knowledge to bring new light to the living scriptures, we have enough information to know that time is short, very short. We don't know the day or the hour but we know the season. Just a question. |

I cannot argue with any of that. I plan on focusing on the following-
growing in my relationship with Christ growing in faith and trust growing in my knowledge of the Word through study and Holy Spirit revelation evangelism If I focus on these things and my heart is to build the kingdom then I have northing to fear at His coming

Quote:
Tts 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; This is a blessed hope for the Christian. I stand firm in my faith and take up my cross each day. As a Christian man, I also fear nothing about the return of my Lord but I raise my hands and welcome Him with joy. However, I do believe that we are to learn off one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So my question would be, if you want to grow in the Lord and grow in faith. How does this happen without hearing the Word of God? We can read a passage of the Bible and interpret it, but does it make it accurate? If this would be the case then why would we all go to Church at all? We go to Church because someone has gone to school and was put in a position by God to lead the Church. Myself being a Youth Pastor for 17 years I understand the Word of God and understand how we grow in the Lord and where that faith comes from. I agree with the quote above, but I think knowledge is key in growing in the Lord. |
