I completely disagree- many "religions are idol worship- their is no relationship with dead stone. Some are demonic these may be a twisted, sick mockery of a relationship.

The relationship between the God of Christianity and Christians is quite different than the relationship between the gods of other religions and their followers.
Indeed.

Religion had helped many people (myself included) to focus their minds on God. I feel God's presence more completely in Church, especially during a service. Religion is meant to help us in our relationship with God. They are not mutually exclusive terms.

Biblical religion as described in the bible is service to others in the love of God.
Many church services are directed by the Holy Spirit and not a formula.

Sorry if it seems like I'm being contrarian, but give me a break- I'm a teenager
You are allowed to be as contrary as you like as it makes for interesting conversation.

I was taking a more objective point of view. That is, how an outsider would see Christian relationships with God as opposed to, say, Muslim ones. That's what I was trying to get at, that, to some people, the slogans look like hypocritical rhetoric.

I'm glad someone enjoys reading my perspectives

I feel that many "non-Christians" and other people who aren't in any religion at all want to put all people who do practice a religion into one box and call us "religious people".

I believe in God not because it makes me popular or special or different, I didn't jump into Christianity because it was the latest fad or every one is doing it - I did it for other reasons that a lot of other people can't understand.

Sure, I have faith, but my Faith starts with a capital "F" and is the best thing since sliced bread and salad forks.
Amen , Nearer , God bless you my dear. Praying for you and all that you are going through.

And that's right , I am not looking for a popularity contest. I am looking to serve my Jesus in the best ability possible..

I like what you said about faith.
