In fact if one thinks they can be really touched, filled and moved by the Lord God and not have their heart stirred I think they are mistaken. Emotion or feeling is part of the way God made us to respond but it is a by product and not the prime product.
That was such a good description of the Holy Spirit, Bo.

I think it is the emotion that intimidates me when it comes to the H.S. working in me. If I could just do it person to person. . . but then the Lord knows when it happens I will handle it.

The "by-product" thing - it sounds kinda like works being a by-product of our Salvation, not the means to receive it.

There are some people who can feel other peoples emotions and/or pain. I’ve met a few. One guy said when he got close to someone, he would feel the joy, pain, sadness… He said he would sometimes start crying if he was too close to someone with a lot of emotional pain.

That can be nothing but the Holy Spirit me thinks.

I find that being moved by the Spirit is not dependant on emotions, but is more of a knowing deep in my spirit You may have heard the expression "I just know that I know" Its a discernment in your spirit that is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Emotions have little to do with it, however, there are times when (not often) my emotions have been triggered by the Spirit moving, this has usually been in response some inner healing God has been doing for me.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes, Yes! The Holy Spirit that indwells the believer can use circumstances, events, tragedy, and our whole being to convey His will for our life. That includes our mind, body, spirit and soul.

When the Holy Spirit moves us, sometimes it is through a thought, emotion, a stirring of the spirit, A revelation. The more you become obedient to His will for your life, the more you will follow His leading.
