I think he was saying when we give our lives to Christ, we are changed. We are both physical and spiritual beings.
The way we react to different situations and people is now effected by our faith. Does that makes sense concerning the rest of his sermon? If not, what else did he say that might help us to understand what he was getting at? |

We are new creatures. We receive a new spirit from God and we are changed from the inside out (the opposite of religion). This new man is placed inside us and that inner man is like our Lord:
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. This new man manifests the qualities that God has imparted and given to us in Christ: 1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1Co 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. He took on our very sin that we coud be acceptable and welcomed into God's presence: 2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. So who and what are we in Christ- I recommend studying the Book of Ephesians and applying personally to your life ad this will show you much about who this new inner man is. Do you want to see this new man manifest in your life? If so study the Word of God with the help and revelation of the Holy Spirit (our teacher) and began to grasp that Word by faith. It is time to get past what we see , think, feel, smell and or understand about reality and began to believe the Word of God as the truth it is. This is called being renwed in yor mind: Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Be made new in the very life force of your thoughts. If you receive revelation, if you are transformed in your thoughts in an area of your mind then your body will follow. This is done in one area at a time until you come into total agreement with God's Word- this is sanctification. While it sounds difficult this is the main goal of heaven in your life- to bring you into unity and fellowship with the Father. All of heaven is ready to do whatever necessary to bring you to a place of absolute surrender to your old ways and life that you may experience new life in Christ.

Amen my son .
![]() ![]() . There is nothing more to say.![]() Leon, The butterfly reminds us of new creation as that horrible little worm turns into a beautiful butterfly. Just like us when we take Jesus as our Saviour He transforms our life into something beautiful. I am also reminded now of the transformation of creation from the dull dark , cold winter snowy days to everything budding and blossoming into a new season.
