hi there,

like i told in my last thread. I was supposed to baptized tomarrow sunday. Pastor asked me to come and meet him pesonally yesterday(friday). I was planning i was counting on this. But some things wiered happened on friday. I woke up 4am and the interview at 10am. typically i get up around 3am in the mornng to do my school assignment Suddenly i felt like lazy and weak and i got th urge that i want to go to bed again. I think i also woke up with a headache. However i went to bed again i didnt want to get up. I woke up after 10:30am way pass the interview with the pastor.

I felt sorry about my self and i was angry. Then i send a message to pastor's cell phone appologizing him for not comming and i asked him weather i could re-schedule the meeting in the evening or saturday(today). I met this pastor in person at the church but he replied to me:

Here is the message as it is:

Hi,
I can NOT meet untill next week now - sorry. Call me on monday to make a time. We won't do baptism untill after i see you.

What does he mean by "we wont do baptism untill after i see you" we already met. At the first meeting he told me that he could even baptize me in the even on that same day but now he is tell me that he cant baptize me till he sees me????


i did not reply becuase he would think that i'm pushing. I dont know weather he likes pushy ones...i'm confused. Anyway i'm going to the church tomarrow to meet in again and hoping somrthign will happen

Hmmm...I'm sorry that you couldn't be baptized. But don't read too much into the pastor's message. He could have been having a bad day. You just never know, and it's sometimes hard to tell by messages. Just set up a new time. God will take care of you. God bless.

The way I read the message was we wont do the baptisms until we meet about it. Maybe he's posponing baptisms to allow you to be baptised too.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I can think of quite a number of reasons he would like to meet with you first. Have you been through instruction yet? If not, there are several things to cover which will add meaning and pleasure to the Baptism.

This is an event that you will remember for the rest of your life, (And eternal life) your Pastor probably just want's to make it as special and glorious as he can.

I do not think it is an issue either brother. One more week should not matter.
