Maybe it depends on how peculiar you become.

Those who are spiritually blind cannot comprehend anything like "living by faith", "grace of God", being "born again". They can only see the here and now, what they can see, hear, feel, touch, taste, and smell. To them our faith is foolishness. I was once like that.

Yes, it's so frustrating, when we know where they are heading, but they have no idea, and aren't interested. But the fact remains that the lost cannot understand spiritual things, it's fantasy and nonsense to them, and it makes the Bible and Christianity look rediculous to share it with them, nor do they need to know. What they do need to know is where they stand before God, which is what the ten commandments were given for. If they realise that and are concerned, then it's time for what to do about it, Gods provision, Jesus Christ. If they hear the Law, the ten commandments, and aren't concerned, then nothing more need be said, it's pointless.

James B, You said:
Quote:
First off the unsaved or the natural man cannot understand those things and it is futile to try and explain them. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. All you can do is point him to Christ in the simplest of ways and plant the seed of the good news of the gospel. The Love of God, John 3:16-18. The redeeming grace Ephesians 2:8-9. |
