Cool, I actually prefer my pheasants running around to enjoy their natural beauty! But hey...I've heard they're pretty on your dinner plate, too. LOL!

The one time I had pheasant, it just tasted like greasy chicken. Ruffed Grouse, on the other hand, I remember as being mighty tasty. All these food threads would be making me hungry if I hadn't just stuffed myself at Cracker Barrel. Fried catfish and dumplins.

Default Pheasant Farm

Now, I could tell ya some stories about when I lived in Ohio as a kid on a Pheasant Farm. It was in Fairbourne. My folks got the rent on this farm free, and some additional earnings too. It was owned by 10 millionaires who'd call us when they wanted to come out to shoot some pheasants. We'd release about 12 of them for the hunt and have their hunting dogs ready also. After they brought back the birds, mom would clean them and freeze them and they'd take some in the freezer for themselves. We'd feed and water the dogs and my older bro and I would have to go clean the cabin they used up the hill.

Well, one time, one of them had left their locker unlocked and we looked in and saw all these liquor bottles. We decided to taste a wee bit of each bottle, just to see which one we like the best, don't ya know?

Well, an hour later, mum saw us coming down the lane all stumbling and green and all and laughed so hard cause she'd smelled us coming and knew what we'd done, don't ya know? We had quite a hangover in the mornin', don't ya know?
