With me, it's manifold. At first, what really pressed on me was the issue of love. I know Jesus loved me. Somehow I should respond to that. I knew, I should not let this simply go past me.

Then, there was fear. I know that there is damnation. I don't want to be damned.

And there's righteousness. I have the desire to do what is right. To be in good standing with the Lord. I know I must do as He says. I accept that He calls us to obedience in faith. I want to be a righteous man, not because of seeking gain but because righteousness is the right kind of peace, a peace that will satisfy because it is the kind of peace that finally eases conscience.

I'm happy to have chosen the Lord. I know I am far from being perfect. I should be much more straight up and decisive. I lack a lot of understanding. I miss insight in me, and loving wisdom.

But my true life is hidden in Christ. If I stay with Him, He will lead me out of my failures into becoming a glorious christian. In Jesus I am really called. He wants to burn out of me my impurities. He wants to make me into a kind of man that I need not be ashamed about.

Because all of my life, I have never been like the world. I was also driven by fear. I was born kind and I always thought I was cursed because I wasn't accepted, was confused because I was a nice person.

I accepted Him to stay out of hell, and I serve Him out of gratitude and love for doing just that.

I always believed He was real, but as I listened to Billy Graham preach at an outreach I realised that He wanted me to be in relationship with Him.
He was my answer !

It's interesting to see how we all seem to have different motivations/reasons for going into a relationship with Jesus.

I believe in God and the truth of scripture and scripture says that there is only one way to eternity in the presence of our creator and that is through accepting Jesus (the Son of God) as LORD and saviour.

And as a sane man knows not to jump off of the Golden Gate bridge, because it will ultimately lead to death ,my heart and mind assures me that this is the only way to void eternal death.

Jesus came to me with love and mercy- I fell in love with Him and continue to do so more each day. The more I know of Him the more I desire, the more I desire the more I find, the more I find the more I discover that there is yet so much more. As He is infinite and eternal I do not expect this cycle to cease and I hunger and thirst more after my Lord all the time. He is awesome beyond my description.

My life was so messed up and hopeless in the world that I resubmitted , rededicated it all to Him to undo. That does not mean the road was easy but with Him by my side I have the reassurance of my eternal home.. He is my first love and as I dwell in His rest ( Just reading about His rest in Hebrews 4 )

Each day is a new day in Him and I cannot do it without Jesus. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit bringing change in my life and newness every day.

I praise Him for His goodness and mercy. Nothing is hidden from God's sight.
