Did anyone see the American Idol Gives back show this week. At the end, the whole American Idol crew sand "Shout To The Lord". My wife and I almost fell over. We couldn't believe our ears. A lot more of the contestants are singing spiritual type songs this year. Its amazing.

I don't watch AI that much, but why (In my opinion) they're starting to sing spiritual songs is because the judges probably want to hear something different, or there's just a large crowd of people wanting to hear it.

I have never actually seen an episode of American Idol. But I heard about the song this morning on Relavent Radio. The AI producers felt like they needed to take the name "Jesus" out of the first line of the song. It's supposed to be "My Jesus, My Savior" and they replaced it with "My Shepherd, My Savior." Interesting, because a few lines later the song says: "Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name." At the sound of who's name? If only I could figure out who this song is about! I guess we'll never know.

Even still, I agree that it's cool they did it at all.

Check this video out of David Archuletta singing Smokey Mountain memories by Dolly Parton. This one actually mentions Jesus anf the Father. This kid is great.

I Heard the same thing on Way Of The Master Radio. People hate the name Jesus......
