You can talk about Mohamed, Buddha or whatever- no problem but mention the Name of Jesus and every demon in hell quivers. The spirit that operates in the lost world does not want to hear His Name spoken. They rail against it, censor it and/or do whatever it takes to avoid it.

As far as AI I have never seen it but I am glad something positive came out of it.

Yep- I always thought the name was poorly chosen.

The true gospel....is offensive. Paul was very offensive.

I think its great that they even had the song on the show in any form. The Gospel may or may not be offensive, but you cannot push it down the throats of the general public on a reality TV show that attracts people of all faiths and non faiths. I don't know why some of you people feel compelled to put a negative spin on a positive gesture.

Everyone here seems to agree that it was a positive gesture. But omitting Jesus's name is definitely worth commenting on, esp. on a Christian forum.

Agreed- it was disappointing.

I know that the Name of Jesus has power over everything, but it is a common name in the spanish speaking world, and pronounced differently throughout the world, so it isnt just 'jesus' that is powerful but the person behind it, it is 'He'.
Therefore, when they sang 'My shepherd, My Saviour', it couldnt have been about anyone else.
I truly believe (in faith) that because of the Spirit of the song, that the same message has gone forth.
There is no other Name under Heaven and Earth by which we may be saved, nor do any other names cause mountains to bow down.
Hallelujah Lord.
EDIT:EDIT:EDIT
Praise God was looking at CBN christian news site and saw this.
In the reprise and download version the Name has been left in
Hallelujah
Pass it on to your friends
Excellent

I believe that they are promoting this because they know that the majority of the nation is "religious" and out of all those religions Christianity is the largest. It's good business to put things christians want into the stores and programs to lure them in.
