I woke up this morning and felt His loving presence in spite of my fleshly old man- I am not sure if there could be a greater blessing.

Wow, Violet that is a tall order to fill. Don't know where to start. His blessings ...... hmmmm....He blessess me in my going out and my coming in. He watches over me when I am driving my car . He is my comforter , my guide, my Lord God Almighty. He is my closest friend. He is there for me 24/7. He is just a phone call away. He lifts me up when I am feeling down.

He is my Lord and my God. Violet ,I could go on and on but will stop here. His blessings are so numerous it is hard to pin them down.

Default I am married.

I left my job to seek God and His will for three months and a couple months after... I prayed for a particular girl who I thought may be my wife. I prayed and saught God on many other things, and He taught me much about His grace and about His sovereignty.

When I returned, we began seeking friendship with that girl and eventually marriage--we are now married only a year after I returned from my time of seeking God.

Also, I have been financially blessed in ways that five months of work never would have been able to provide. Without going into detail... leaving my job to seek God for five months made me richer monetarily and spiritually than could ever have been achieved would I have remained working those five months.

Seek first Him and His righteousness, and all of these things will be added unto you. It's true, if you didn't know that already.

My grandson smiled when he saw me for the first time for the day.

At the Thank You Luncheon given by the Refinery to thank those that responded to the refinery fire back in Feb., we were given a standing ovation as we walked in. (we were late, due to fighting another fire at the refinery!) (I wasnt sure what to do with myself during that, at the luncheon)

I recieved a call from my pastor this morning, and she prayed over me and my family. Such a beautiful, uplifting prayer it was. And I had the opportunity to pray for her and her family and give her a word from the Lord in regard to something they have been struggling with.

I took one of our firetrucks in to get a side view mirror fixed (it was shattered who knows when) and the guy that fixed it gave it to us without charge as a thank you for saving his house at the last major grass fire that ran thru two housing areas.

I could go on and on about the wonderful things God has been doing in my life, the blessings He has bestowed on me and our dept!

Thank You, Jesus!

I've been going through many trials in my life.

I was reminded by someone to remember what Christ endured.

It truly made me stop and think.

I am nothing compared to The Lord.

That was a true blessing to be strengthened once again by someone's encouragement.

I can endure my troubles through Christ and for Him!

It can only bring me closer to Him.

Amen sweet Violet and when we go through our trials God is closer to us. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother or sister for that matter.

Blessing to you today dear Violet and thanks for starting this thread.
