I don't know what you did to become a Christian, but if I were you, I'd make a point of making God LORD OF MY LIFE. And that means you have to be prepared to making Him the BOSS OF YOUR LIFE. That means you have to "go to work" everyday (study His Word and talk to him about what you need to do).

Try kneeling down and putting into words the fact that you want Him to be Lord of your life and then spend time with Him.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off as being harsh. I'm just explaining how I came to know that I know that I will go to Heaven. I don't doubt it anymore.

There are so many good answers here that I cannot add too much more other than the fact of asking Jesus to be Lord of your life , putting good thoughts of Jesus into your mind , reading and meditating on His word Daily and reading His Word before you go to bed. He will strenthen you in your relationship with Him and give you more confidence that He is there for you 24/7 and will never leave you or forsake you.

Bonnie has given excellant advice.and I can add if you go to the thoughts section of the forum there are a lot of encouraging words to follow. I would advise that you copy out the section and read it daily. EncourageYourself in the Lord

I used to be afraid too. Now I have perfect peace. He is our rock and our fortress. If God is our fortress, how can we be afraid? I daily pray that he will be in charge of my life.

i have been crying all day.even at work im tearing up. I just dont know what to do....Im trying so hard to be right with God again, to build up my faith, but its like this ever present fear is there, and I dont know what to do.

Be afraid! Use that fear to keep you in line with the Lord.

I'll tell you what - out there, there are billions of people who don't believe, that aren't afraid at all...but they should be. Oh, yes! If they only knew the truth, that our Christ was coming back again - they'd be trembling with fright!

You have fear inside of you for a reason. God wants us to fear Him, because when we fear we obey. Use that fear to motivate you to pick up the bible. Use it to listen to Christian music. Use it to give to those who are needy. Use it to ask forgiveness. Use that fear to help you to be good to everybody you meet.

Fear might is scaring you, but it's one of your best weapons. Without that fear in your heart, you wouldn't care at all. But you do fear, you're scared. Good. I tremble too, when I realize that God is God Almighty. Next to God there is no higher authority.

When we fear the Lord Father in Heaven...we obey. And by obeying, we come to know His love for us. When we realize that He loves us...we begin to understand that we have absolutely nothing to fear when it comes to Christ's Second Coming. He's on His way right now to reward us, those who have kept His commandments and have believed in what they haven't seen.

Those who could care less today, who don't believe what they haven't seen...they're the ones that have something big to fear tomorrow.
